I want to add more context to Sylus's famous "You should know very well that I adore you. There is no love purer than mine." It's a rare case where the English translation makes the line so much more romantic because this is how the conversation goes in Chinese:

The first 2 lines are more or less similar in meaning, but the last 2 lines are very different. Sylus isn't asking if MC realises his feelings, it's him who suddenly has a revelation. He says, "So, even this is the first time I realise.... When I stand before you, I possess this kind of gentle temper, softhearted side in me."

Which makes MC go "...Wow. Turns out bringing me to a mafia trade counts as being gentle and softhearted."

The English makes him sound like he's got his feelings sorted out when really, he's having an identity crisis after stealing a gun from under MC's skirt to obliterate those people. He's so down bad.

Had the funny realization that I (not my MC, but me personally) could never realistically date Zayne because he would 100% notice every random bruise/cut/injury that suddenly appears on my body and would make it a constant point of contention.

“Wisty… darling, how long have you had that mole?”

Me, realizing he’s discovered that mole behind my knee, sweating : “Oh, well what do you know, there is something there! Cute!”

Zayne: “No - not cute. I don’t remember that looking so large a month ago.”

Me, pretending I haven’t noticed: “Huh!”

Zayne: “Willful ignorance isn’t attractive, love. Let’s book you in to get that looked at.”

Me: “It’s fine! It isn’t even that big. Look, it even has a hair growing out of it! You know they say moles that have a hair aren’t usually trouble!”

Zayne: “… there is nothing about that mole that I wouldn’t categorize as malignant.”

Me: “Zayne. Light of my life. You’re a cardiac surgeon. I don’t think you’re qualified to diagnose cancerous moles.”

Zayne: “I’m pretty sure astronauts on the International Space Station are qualified to diagnose that at the rate that thing’s growing.”
