Cactibo: Sun-loving civilisatiin which built itself in the desert and as high as it could get without leaving the ground, I.e. On stilts, up cliffs, etc.
The mer: semi-aquatic species that live on and in water, in swamps, lakes and rivers, so they are always clean, always hydrated, used water power abundantly, ate fish, houses floated on water and in the middle of the lake, etc.
Shroombo: Bo that dig themselves underground, on place where nobody else wants to go, so nobody bothers them. They live off of underground Soul crystals, underground water sources, etc.
Florabo: Similar to cactibo, living in tree houses, very tall to reach the sun, etc. But mainly focuses on fields and forests.

It's funny... Angels don't bleed, but that day, all I saw was red.
(talking about the extermination of his tribe by humans/robots in the war. He was recaptured after previously leaving Feliks behind at Vs. He escapes bg seeing red and accidentally turning into his other form, but by then, Feliks had already turned into a cat.)

Serin holds the little orb robot by its sides like you'd place two hands on the sides of a child's head or cheeks.
"Now, listen. You have a very important job. You have to carry all of Lumii's stuff for them, and help them get around this world, because they don't know anything about it. Okay? Can you do that?"
"Kido can do that!"
"Very good. Do your best okay!"
"Okay! Kido loves you!"

Serin’s morality on a bad route: ‘Ultimately, I can’t stop believing everyone has bad intentions.’
On a good route: ‘I believe there is good in almost everyone, and the few that aren’t good I will give up on.’
Ichrysus’ morality: ‘I don’t care about anyone’s intentions. If they do bad things, they’re bad.’
Caelin’s morality:  ‘I think everyone can change, but only with effort, and the effort must come from themselves. I will not waste time and resources trying to change people, especially if it’s at the expense of mine or others’ mental health or energy.’

An animation where the player is falling in the beyond and everything is moving in time with the beat -- thunder in clouds, flowers blooming (as though in time lapse) - - think of bjork concert. Also remember the water video where it looks like space but it's actually really closeup paint in water

Gal whose power is infinite stamina. She draws it from a supernatural well within her, but her body also draws it from wherever else it can, such as converting kinetic ⛮ energy from movement or hits to her own energy, as well as electrical energy and even sunlight. However, the well does eventually have a limit, though she can still stay infinite after it runs out so long as she keeps moving; if she becomes too still, she collapses and falls dead asleep for at least 6 hours. She must also consume ludicrous amounts of food to maintain this lifestyle. If she is awakened too early or manages to stay full of stamina while for over 48 hours, she will still have stamina, but it will feel like she hasn't slept in 48 hours while drinking 50 cups of coffee at a time. Past this point, her logical thinking will start to go out the window.

"what's your vice? Mine's reckless sex."
"I'm... Not really into that."
"yeah, I know, but it doesn't have to be that. It doesn't even have to be drugs. Is it... Gambling? binge eating? Overspending on nerd merch? Staying up late playing video games?"
"you have a very wide definition of 'vice'."
"well, the way I'm thinking of it is... Something that you're addicted to. Something you do to feel free, or happy, or more in control. Even though maybe it hurts you or other people to do it. I've been trying to not force myself into, uh, situations I don't like with people I'm not even attracted to just to get a temporary feeling of happiness."
"well, if you learn to do it in a healthy way, it'll be fine, then..."
"yeah, that's why I didn't just say 'sex'. I know you ain't some kind of puritan. Just ace, maybe?"
"... Yeah. But, uh, I'm not a puritan, but I'm kinda... What's the word... Uptight? So I can't just bare my vices to the world like you do..."
"that's fine. Just tell me when it gets too unhealthy. I don't want you hurting yourself too much."

X assassinates a liberal politician because he was secretly working with the alt-right to give the slaves rights and their own country, work as hard as they could do destabilise the country, blame it on the slaves for being too dumb to manage themselves, and use that as justification as to why they should not exist.
Mysterious contact of Alexandria wants to be reincarnated as a being that lives and dies without knowing anything, feeling the fear of death and the unknown, as they are immortal and have access to all the knowledge in the world. If you are love interests and you take the path in which you might die, you get the option to be reincarnated with ‘soul marks’ that will make it so that you find one another again in your next life.

"She talks about 'survival of the fittest' and thinks she understands how the world works. She doesn't mention that if a predator is too successful, he drives his prey to extinction and then starves. She seeks immortality at the cost of the lives of others, as though her place in the universe is more valuable than theirs; as if humanity's place is more valuable than anyone else's. She takes lives and yet is not prepared to give her own."
But she's not even a predator. None of them are. They're a virus: one that doesn't cultivate anything of value but prefers to take from others, taking and taking, not realising that if it kills every member of the species it infects it won't have anything left to take, and it'll die."
Caelin vers. "So that's how it is. You, humanity, all of you: you're a virus. You don't cultivate anything of value, or you don't want to, so you take it from others -- but if you kill every member of your host species, you won't have anything left to take, and you'll die. So that's why you let the rebellion -- no, all of the novathan -- live?"
Virus part might be attributed to caelin after she figures out that evil racist dude is letting the rebellion and all the other planets live because, like a virus, if the people they plunder die, there's nothing left to take.

Ichrysus mentions how his society believed that societies should not become too big, as that leads to the community becoming hard to manage by the authorities and by others.
For example, in his society, they had a no-jails policy: when people commit crimes there would be a full investigation into how and why they did the crime, and in most cases they would be able to investigate the root cause of the crime or the reason the person committed it and then solve that problem, stopping both the person and the society from committing that same crime in the future. When somebody stole, they would investigate why, and if they found that they stole because they didn't have enough resources for themselves they would ask why that would be the case and try to solve that problem, which might be by changing the way they organise resource distribution or just helping the individual in acquiring more resources individually. On rare occasions, if the person did something especially bad like shattering souls or mass murder, they would be exiled to a remote place and left to fend for themself.
Essentially, because they always had smaller communities, they could micromanage them more, which is harder to do with big societies. In some ways, you could consider them to be semi-anarchic.
Caelin is reminded of this when the rebellion gets bigger and a problem happens that she was not able to personally intervene in because the rebellion has grown too big for just her and a few close friends to handle. She talks to the protag about her worries about what will become of the society once it's grown big enough to be called a country.

Ichrysus used to be in charge of the guard, but quit due to that not being his preferred rolr and due to 'stress' (which you later find out means having to be on guard all the time was making his hypervigilance worse). He's now a communicator for the rebellion, since he knows most languages, and he helps you gain allies and supplies from alien species of all kinds.
Serin, Ichrysus and Caelin all have common interests. Serin and Caelin both have a love of history and culture, Serin for his own reasons and Caelin because she was denied access to that kind of knowledge beforehand. Ichrysus isn't massively interested in it because he's an immortal and has enough history in his mind already, though he notes this hasn't stopped Serin. He also says that it depresses him to read of places and people who have all inevitably been hurt by the empire in some way, though he understands the importance of learning from the past.
Serin and Ichrysus share a passion for the written arts and languages. Caelin doesn't, since she learned to read late and never really got the hang of it even compared to other ex-slaves. Besides, she doesn't have much time for that.
Ichrysus and Caelin share an interest in music. Caelin plays the guitar and Ichrysus plays a bit of everything, and both can sing. They both learned because sitting down and playing a guitar in the rebellion HQ is a good way to keep up morale and meet the people you're in charge of and get to know them.
This knowledge may translate into knowing good locations to take them on outings on.

'simple chat' mechanic where you can have an icon-based convo with someone. Example: Serin: 🐱? Your choice: 🐱× / 🐱✓ and if you click 🐱✓, you get a tiny amount of approval from Serin. You can also get automatic convos after the fact, like both of you having cat symbols above your head to show you're chatting about them, like in the sims, and occasionally you will get a one-sentence summary of the conversation ('you chat about current events for a while...)
Take pictures of animals/people you see (aka click on their little sprite) and get a bigger picture of them (like the seahorsebird I drew) as well as info, and then get to send them to someone for money like in Beyond Good & Evil. Also get a choice of what to name the picture when you send it. Keep a copy of it in your Photographs folder.
Menu should include Inventory, but also Photographs and Relationships (shows how many hearts you're at, their tarot, other info) sections.

Kinetic gunsword: Once the gun overloads or runs out of 'bullets', you can then charge a separate kind of energy with melee attacks and then use that energy to fire again until the rest of the gun gets its shit back together. The stronger or more numerous the melee attacks, the more powerful your bullets will be. The sword part retracts as a lightsaber does when you stop using it.
Necrogun: You suck energy from your own aura, using it to charge your gun and enhance your bullets, but leaving your shield with low power and therefore lowering the hits you are able to take before you start losing actual physical health, which is very dangerous. You can also harvest the SP from the souls of the dead, though it is recommended that you do this with people who have already passed or souls that are already floating around, since killing people to harvest their energy is highly frowned upon for obvious reasons.
Soul gun: powered by soul energy, like all guns, but uses it for bullets too. Never runs out of bullets, but never gets more or less powerful. A consistent gun for someone who doesn't like to take risks.
Shield fist/Putemup: You fight with your shield focused around your hands or general limbs. This leaves the rest of your shield weaker, but allows you to perform devastating melee damage, leap high, run across walls, etc. This is a special move, not a weapon, but if you want to build an entire fighting style around this, you can. It is not recommended to not have a ranged weapon like this unless you are extremely agile and fast enough to get close to people, and also dodge other people's attacks due to lowered defense. You would essentially have to be a ninja or an acrobat.
Only energy weapons are effective versus a shielded person. Actual guns don't do shit. Once you've depleted someone's shield, they are considered defeated. If they continue attacking after this, you can still attack them back, but it is otherwise a bad idea to consciously murder someone. Unless they're an empirean general or otherwise higher-up, because they're generally bad people and would murder you if you were in their place.
All weapons are passively powered by soul energy and need to be charged. Bullets only hurt the shields of their targets and disperse if they come into contact with flesh. Putemup does not do this. Non-soul-powered weapons or weapons not imbued with soul energy will simply bounce off the shield of a person, even if the weapon is stabbing or penetrative, though if the damage is high enough it will weaken (reduce SP) of the shield. Humans need special devices in order to turn their shield on and off, but angels and some novathan do not. Those novation are somewhat like mages.
Having your shield turned on almost all the time it's recommended to prevent accidents. It is almost another layer of clothing over your actual clothing, to the point where it is considered rude to not have it turned on. It is most appropriate to have it off when at home; think of the situations where it is appropriate to wear shoes. Turn up to work in only your socks and it's very rude.

If you complete a mission for someone, they let you sleep at their house and/or provide you with food, and you can hardly ever survive in battles just on your own, teaching you the power of teamwork! Man killed mammoths by numbers and strategy, not by some guy being more powerful than the rest. No man for himself.
