As a kid I wouldn’t let others play with my toys because I didn’t want them to hurt them so I would pick out only certain toys they could play with 😭

OHH saw post on this some time ago, not Able to find but . experiment in which Harmless but strange social behaviour [which happened to be carrying around plush] & there was almost, pretty sure Actually 0 negative interaction . Some strange looks etc but nobody really said anything & the thesis is . most people Don't care . at least in general public [do not know if america specific] . it's something about Not normal to do but not viewed as bad either .

i am also autistic, visibly [mentally] disabled, carry around stuff Everywhere & people have been surprisingly cool . sometimes they ask if my Guy of the day has a name . especially if you Don't appear embarrassed about it , seem proud etc people very chill . :}

☆ can we normalize carrying toys / plushies in public? ☆

as an autistic person that struggles with social anxiety, taking my comfort plushies with me always helps me be more comfortable.

it's not wrong to have comfort items, and we shouldn't be shamed for carrying them around!
