#rip This beautiful woman right here was fierce long before it become a buzzword. She had a huge poster in her garage of Huey Newton sitting in that rattan chair. I knew we were in Oakland, for real. She and Uncle Lee had 68 years together, (started dating when they were 16 years old) and one fabulous daughter. She’s also Larry’s godmother. #happyfathersday My Dad is still my world, even though he rests in the arms of Jesus Christ, his Lord and savior. I remember Daddy holding his tongue when I wanted to talk about my love relationships. It was all he could do NOT to reach across the table and shake some sense into me. He was soooo happy when Greg and I got back together and then married. Thank you dad for NOT making me feel foolish, yet loving me in spite of myself. Thank you for teaching your children to lean on the Lord for understanding. Thank you Daddy for making our lives incredibly joyful, intelligent and empathetic.
