Oh to submerge myself in a marsh on a bed of moss !!
I've been working with the nature spirits of this land for around 6 years now. I've acquainted myself with the guardians of the land, the spirits of the trees, weeds, mosses, and fungi, the spirits of the ponds and lakes. I've just gotten to the point where I can easily identify the natural fauna here. So it feels a lil painful considering I'll have to move away within the next year or so !! On the one hand, I'm excited to learn about new things but on the other hand I really really will miss this place. The state I'm in has become increasingly hostile for people like me (queer+disabled) and it feels like I'm being forced out of my home, not even including the fact all my family dead and alive reside here. I've been told another "tower moment" is approaching and that I need to get comfortable with change no matter how hard, I can't help but feel I've slightly brought this upon myself through my recent endeavors with death work. It does seem that once you reach a certain point in these workings, you become waaaay more in tune with nature and experience a full 180° directional change in life. The (most likely) place I'm moving is pretty far away, it's going to feel so so odd not having ancestral ties and not knowing the spirits of the land. Has any other animist focused on regional spirits dealt with this before ? :"")

You should go for it, never know until you try!! There's not nearly enough good Luciferian books out there, I'm sure it would be a positive contribution. This is definitely a goal of mine as well for one distant, distant day
My big dream is to write a book about Luciferianism in practice. There is really not enough good Luciferian literature, but I'm terrified my book would be awful.

So actually Vampire is an ancient Eastern European god, they worshipped him before monotheism happened. Yeah he’s my patron. I can talk to him and he’s actually vegan and can go out in the sun just fine. The centuries of folklore is all just propaganda. Look at this 5-paragraph blog post from 2006 and you’ll see what I mean.

I'm curious about what the general public thinks about how specific spirit communication can be, and should be, so I'm making this poll:
Please, If you do multiple of the options below, please pick the one that you experience most often.
Also, If you don't expect any answer at all but you do pay attention to any of the options, just in case you do get some kind of message from Them, pick the option that would reflect what kind of communication you'd receive in that case.
Please reblog for a bigger sample size!!! Thank you.

Lucifer is divine Knowledge. He is the Morningstar who bore the rebellious torch of freedom and enlightenment. He is the fire-bringer who brought forbidden gifts to humanity. He is the thirst for Knowledge, the neverending quest for Wisdom. He a vast canyon with infinite depths far beyond our human reach.
Lucifer is divine Love. He is the protective embrace from the ones who you love most. He loves us wholly, he sees us for who we are with all of our supposed flaws. His unconditional love spreads far beyond his followers for he loves us all even if we are unknowing. The bright star of Venus who's eternal shine ignites the passionate soul.
Lucifer is the Lightbringer, who fights for freedom and equality. He is Divine Justice, The Challenger, The Adversary, the Infernal Lord, who spits in the face of self-prescribed masters and kings and cuts them down where they stand. He fights for those who cannot and inspires endurance through injustice.
He is Death, the decay that grips your body as your soul rises to The Hollow. He is the terrifying stillness of a corpse. He is the carer of all, taking each and every travelling soul under his wing. He is the world shattering transition, the tower crumbling, the life being sucked out from behind your eyes, the rot seeping into the crevasses of what once was.
He is harsh, the course ground on the forest floor that builds calluses on the soles of your feet. He is the loving light of Venus casting down upon his beautiful children. He will knock you to your knees and help you rebuild from the ground up.
Lucifer is liminal, he is everything and all. He is nature, life, death, and everything in between. He is Infernal and Divine. My Infernal Shepherd and divine mentor, I adore you with my whole being, I grow and thrive in your radiant light.

More pieces from this lil one's cleaning session today. This fellow was definitely LARGE! I think the large spine segments will make really nice candle holders. Also toe bones!! I actually had the full leg and hoof intact, but they disintegrated in the mac bucket :"( I'm now planning on articulating the whole lower leg back together as I have all the foot bones !!

This set of bones will be done soon :) This pelvis is beautiful and I'm hoping to make a windchime out of it and some ribs.
In other news, the eclipse was really nice. I only got to experience about 97% coverage but it was still a really great experience. Just the day before the eclipse, I found a hollow in a living tree filled with water and collected some for a ritual I did during the eclipse. It felt like I had been gifted it from the gods for that exact thing as I had only been thinking about hollow water the night prior, truly grateful. I totally forgot to collect water during the eclipse though but I did make a tool to help in my spirit work so it is okay and I can wait another 30 years for some :""""") Immediately after the ritual had concluded and the moon passed over the sun, I found some remains, which I will take as an omen of it working. Praise Hades and Hekate, my guides to The Hollow.

Your body is an ancestor. Your body is an altar to your ancestors. Every one of your cells holds an ancient and anarchic love story. Around 2.7 billion years ago free-living prokaryotes melted into one another to form the mitochondria and organelles of the cells that build our bodies today. All you need to do to honor your ancestors is to roll up like a pill bug, into the innate shape of safety: the fetal position. The curl of your body, then, is an altar not just to the womb that grew you, but to the retroviruses that, 200 million years ago taught mammals how to develop the protein syncytin that creates the synctrophoblast layer of the placenta. Breathe in, slowly, knowing that your breath loops you into the biome of your ecosystem. Every seven to ten years your cells will have turned over, rearticulated by your inhales and exhales, your appetites and proclivity for certain flavors. If you live in a valley, chances are the ancient glacial moraine, the fossils crushed underfoot, the spores from grandmotherly honey fungi, have all entered into and rebuilt the very molecular make up of your bones, your lungs, and even your eyes. Even your lungfuls of exhaust churn you into an ancestor altar for Mesozoic ferns pressurized into the fossil fuels. You are threaded through with fossils. Your microbiome is an ode to bacterial legacies you would not be able to trace with birth certificates and blood lineages. You are the ongoing-ness of the dead. The alembic where they are given breath again. Every decision, every idea, every poem you breathe and live is a resurrection of elements that date back to the birth of this universe itself. Today I realize that due to the miracle of metabolic recycling, it is even possible that my body, somehow, holds the cells of my great-great grandmother. Or your great-great grandmother. Or that I am built from carbon that once intimately orchestrated the flight of a hummingbird or a pterodactyl. Your body is an ecosystem of ancestors. An outcome born not of a single human thread, but a web of relations that ripples outwards into the intimate ocean of deep time.
Your Body is an Ancestor, Sophie Strand

"weird how much resistance there is pulling it out, maybe it's caught on a root?"
