hmmm am i allowed to talk about the racism in 2x04 of the tgcf donghua or ….
the way the faces of the natives with spears and face paint are drawn, the clear demarcation that their skin is darker than xie lian’s and sqx’s, the clear mocking of their speech and the treatment of them as “savages” …. fuck that, its genuinely disgusting. im so disturbed lol.
as someone who is both chinese and indian i feel so put out by that depiction, and i somehow don’t rmb it ever occurring in the novels?
anyway, i hope everyone can see that for what it was (blatant racism), and not just brush it aside x
