I need help deciding what to write

So, I've got two ideas on short fics I want to write, and I'm letting you guys pick which one I should make first! (More description under the poll)

Hi everyone.

At the beginning of the year, I said I wanted to write shorter fics and one-shots, and now I've finally gotten some ideas!

The 2-shot will be a missing scene fic where Entrapta and Hordak meet after Entrapta was captured. Each chapter will be in the same scene, except that the different chapters will have alternate perspectives, one being Entrapta's and the other Hordak's.

The 1-shot is not a foreign concept to the entrapdak community, with it being the idea of Hordak showing Entrapta a projection of the stars for her to better understand them. It's a cute, romantic moment that has been heavily talked about in the community, and I wanted to give my own spin on it.

With that out of the way, you guys can go ahead and vote on the fic to see which one will come out first. In the meantime, I finally have a plan for the next installment of FUtES, so expect that to come out soon. I'm also halfway through the next chapter of my PotO fic, so that should come out in a day or two.

Guys why does the Phantom of the Opera fandom hate Raul so much??? Is Erik not an awful person?????

I’ve actually thought of this so I’m glad you asked.

Raoul, especially in the version I watched, can come off as dismissive, douchey, and a bit of a gaslighter. Whenever Christine is freaking out, he’s quick to dismiss her concerns and later tries to use her as bait to catch Erik. He also barges into her dressing room so…

Erik of course, is way worse. He’s a mentally unstable murderer, but it’s the aesthetic that catches the eye. He has the mask, the cape, the mansion, the music, the voice. Erik, especially in the musical, is more of a figure than a man.

This all helps my theory about why Erik, and characters like him, are more popular, is because you would never meet a spector like Erik in real life.

All the negative attributes regarding Raoul are more often seen in real life, so characters like him are more hatable. Since Erik’s crimes are often found in fiction, people are more willing to dismiss his crimes since he’s more sympathetic due to his backstory.

Erik is a fantasy; Raoul can be any trust fund baby.

Of course, I’m not saying Raoul is a 100% terrible. He’s a complex character just like Erik. However, the internet has never been nuanced.

Erik is a villain with a tragic backstory, so he will automatically garner the affection of many fans of PotO (including me). Raoul is his rival so those who love Erik will automatically rip up Raoul.

Tldr: Erik is not someone who you would meet in real life, but Raoul is the type of person who would be see in real life, making him more hateable. Also, people who love Erik will go after Raoul because he is Erik’s rival.
