Simon accidentally eating an edible for the first time…
Reader making a batch of gummies, and placing them in a regular sweets tin in their nightstand. Assuming they wouldn’t be touched due to the variety of other snacks squirreled away in nooks and crannies around the shared flat.
Usually nightly routine consisting of a shared shower, a movie and maybe a light snack before bed. Simon leaning over the side of the bed to grab the closest packet of sweets, simply to avoid making another trip to the kitchen after already making both of you a cuppa to have as night cap of sorts.
The two watching said film in bed while snuggled up, you take notice of the sweets tin on the bed and open instead of tucked away from a certain someone. The slow glance upward to a way too relaxed Simon propped up against the headboard.
“Love are you feeling okay?”
Simon actually turning his whole head down to look at you with a lazy smile on his face, using his closest hand to brush hair on your forehead to the side slowly.
“Right as rain, how ‘bout yourself?”
Reader giggling and grabbing the tin, before closing it and putting it back in the night stand drawer. Turning back to look at Simon to see he’s slumped down into the bed slightly and leaned his head back into the wall.
“I think you might have eaten some of my sweets love.”
Simon just stares at the ceiling for a few moments before looking back down at you , blinking slowly as he processes what you just said. Before pulling you closer to his chest and settling down into bed, pushing his nose into your hair from behind mumbling.
“ ‘ll have to phone Price in the morning.”
He presses himself closer to you before slowing his breathing and quietly falling asleep, keeping you tucked in his arms. Film be damned.

Simon with a reader that casually smokes 🤏🌱
Him coming home from leave to a reader casually stretched out on the couch, eyes red and a small smile across their face.
Getting used to the residual smell that wafts around the house, nothing too strong just passing hints of earthy citrus or pungent smoke out the back door.
Checking his partners favorite “smoke spots” before calling out to them. The hammock in the back garden, the patio of the upstairs balcony, the green house the two of you built last summer to contain your “hobby”.
Enjoying the doe eyed looks you’d give him once he’s found you and presented you with a cuppa, taking it in steady hands and blowing over the top before taking a slow sip, quenching the thirst that had been creeping over your tongue.
Reader making sure to not smoke directly around Simon or any of his travel gear, generally skittering outside or somewhere well ventilated as to not disturb Simon. (Even though he could care less)
The two of you making a simple routine of making dinner together, using vegetables you’ve grown in the green house or poultry Simon picked in the shop. Simon taking the time to relax and watch you flit about the dim space, only illumination being the stove light and the sun shining in the windows.
Simon gaining weight little by little because of all the packets of sweets you hide around the flat. The pack of sherbets next to your bed, multiple packets of crisps tucked safely in the cabinets, away from prying hands.
Best one might be the biscuit tins scattered across the living room and kitchen, Simon grabbing one or two while passing by through the day. By the end of the week he’s buying two more to replace the ones he’s demolished.
The quiet and relaxed “vibes” as you call them, that make him really step off the edge when not deployed. The sounds of your giggles when you and Simon watch films together, the wind chimes that jingle when the greenhouse doors open.
Simon couldn’t think of anything better to come home to.

Simon with a reader that works overnights, leaving for patrols around 10pm.
Simon sitting in bed waiting for your alarm to go off so he can get comfortable in bed, watching you stir awake and search for your phone to make it stop chirping.
Reader getting up and navigating through the dark halls of your home preparing to leave for the night, packing a quick lunch and getting their gear situated in car.
Shutting all the lights off behind them as they make their way to the front door. Simon waiting to hear the front door close, and lock before turning his side lamp off and rolling over to try and sleep.
Sunlight creeping through the blinds when Simon gets up to take a shower, taking his time in the hot water before going to start breakfast.
The smell of tea and eggs waft through the house as you fumble in the door, boots and bag clunking as they hit the floor. Reader coming around the corner into the kitchen, eyes drooping and hair tied up in a tight mess as they sit at the table.
Simon setting plates of steaming food down at the table, before sitting across from you and giving you a tired look.
The quiet routine of breakfast and a cuppa while Simon wakes up to start his day, while reader slowly strips off their belt and harness before making their way up the stairs to step into the previously steamy bathroom.
Simon getting a bag packed for his deployment when you walk into the room still dripping from your shower, taking the time to dry off and get changed to listen while Simon lists off the details of his next mission.
Reader climbing into bed while Simon finishes up and gets ready to step out the door, a quick goodbye and the house is back to a stiffening silence.

Simon with a reader that can’t sleep.
Readers sleep schedule is a mess but it works for them, sleeping most of the afternoon but is wide awake first thing in the morning.
Simon being home and just having to co exist around them because there’s really no fixing it.
Reader waking up 4 or 5am only to sneak out of bed, and sit quietly somewhere in the house reading a book or checking emails on their computer.
Simon waking up to a cold bed to no surprise, looking around the room for you, before getting up and dressed to continue his search.
Him finding you tucked away in your shared kitchen sipping a cuppa while making his, looking up at him with bright eyes ready to ramble on about your plans for the day.
Going through your honey-do lists before noon and having a quiet lunch, watching you flit around the kitchen cleaning up after the two of you before settling next to him .
Reader spending most of their afternoon talking Simon’s ear off while cleaning around the apartment, catching up on laundry or watching a film together.
By the time its 5pm reader is making an early dinner before passing out, Blissfully unaware of the world outside their bedroom door.
Simon cleaning up after the two of you before sitting in a chair close by, watching you sleep for a bit before going about his day.
Simon spending the rest of the after noon quietly moving around the house as to not wake them up, cleaning up the garden or setting paperwork in his office.
Finally crawling into bed with reader later in the evening, pulling them close and copying their breathing, Heart slowing and eyes falling closed.
Only to be disturbed a few (much too short) hours later to reader waking up in the ungodly hours of the morning to start their day again.
