ah man i really should finish writing the sequel to how easy you are to need but i just had this idea of a modern-ish dark-ish mermaid au where gepard moves to a quaint little foggy seaside town and he takes nice little walks along the rocky coast and one night while sitting at the docks and admiring the ocean, he meets sampo and sampo is... very clearly a mermaid or... siren or... something, and he isn't even trying to hide it and he's so easily striking up conversation with gepard and... is he flirting?

and gepard is fairly certain that he sees something akin to hunger in sampo's gaze whenever he looks at him, and there is a clear air of danger around him, and yet... gepard finds himself visiting the docks almost every night in hopes of seeing sampo again.

and without fail, each time they see each other, sampo is always trying to coax and lure gepard into the ocean and gepard is fairly certain that sampo wants to eat him, one way or another. he's not quite sure what type of hunger he's seeing, to be honest.

and maybe things happen and they fall in love.

and the thoughts are in my mind and the idea is developing rapidly and i really want to write it.
