We get so wrapped up giving/showing our love language to others instead of being the biggest recipients of it for our own benefit. I was at a wedding when these images were taken. The couple was beautiful, picturesque really. But what I took away from that wedding is that you really can’t pour into another when your cup is empty. Aim to self-actualise before committing to another, and one way of doing so is to give yourself love in the language you appreciate most. 16 Oct 22 Ran my first marathon… over 12 weeks of training. If you had told me at the beginning of the year that I would run a marathon I wouldn’t have believed you. Forever looking for hiking spots with waterfalls. I have so much gratitude for seeing some of thee most beautiful waterfalls, only in SA (at this moment). Some popular to the locals, some popular as a tourist spot. I don’t know man, there’s something about hiking to a destination that you might not know what it looks like, and taking rest there. Eating a snack and reconnecting. Nature is beautiful. If you wanna know the true essence of God, spend time in nature; observe it and you will find some of the greatest lessons in life. I’m give thanks for the waterfalls, the sunsets and sunrises, and epic views I am yet to experience in this lifetime. I’m excited just thinking about all these jaw dropping moments I will experience. #MayDump 1. I visited Venda for the first time. The trip was a short, we arrived way after sunset and spent less than an hour there, but it was worth it. 2. 🐛Masonja I got back from Venda. A favourite snack of mine, I only ever get to have it once in a blue moon. I was insistent on leaving Venda with a packet. I prefer them dry as they are, but can still enjoy them cooked. 3. I had the best lamb shank with butternut mash 🥹 🤤 at the beginning of the month from @franschhoekcellar with the great company of @usi_theyogi & @dani_nteyi. We even asked for the Chef, gave them a hug and thanked them for the dish over and over again. 4. My bedside. “I touched the sky because of you” If there’s one thing you should know about me; it’s that I a have a strong affinity for house music. It’s a love language between my sister and I, with @sfidish_lifestyle always plugging us with the latest tracks. It really helped us bond as a blended family, and along with Beyonce, underscored a lot of my childhood growing up. This picture reminds me of the classic Dennis Ferrer house song “Touched the Sky”, if you know you know. That song goes in!
