niki huffed in boredom, the pencil he was balancing on his cupids bow fell onto your bed for the nth time. sure your shared playlist was nice to listen to, but he had nothing to do; or rather no one to bother. you've been working on your assignments for the past two hours, allowing niki to hangout on the promise he wouldn't bother you too much.

'promises could be broken right?' he thought to himself, glancing over in your direction at your desk, your desktop filed with tabs of documents and academic papers waited to be skimmed through. niki mention that he wanted to work on his own homework, which at least he finished a few questions for. he silently made his way over to you, arms around your shoulders and his weight leaning into yours. he continued his silence, squeezing his arms once you acknowledged with a hum

"anything i can do for you?" you question, eyes refusing to budge from the document you were typing away at. niki sighed loudly, snuggling his head into the side of your neck. "i'm bored (y/n)" he grumbles against your skin, his eyes taking a closer look at what you were doing. though he stopped himself once he saw more words on the page than there was blank space, already getting reminded of his own readings he left his in bag.

doesn't notice, smiles and waves as he leaves for the day, leaving you sitting at the kitchen table with a confused look, almost looking like that standing emoji. i mean it wasn't the first time the joke didn't deliver, so he probably didn't realize. at least, that's what you're telling yourself as you scramble to pick up your phone from its hidden position, your attempts to record a cute prank for tiktok now useless. jay does come home hours later back to you frowning, grumbling about how the couples that did the prank had funny reactions. jay tilts his head in confusion as he wraps his arms around your waist. does a double take almost animatedly, eyes widening and mouth wide open in shock. "love? did you hear me?" he questioned, poking his head back in the room he left you in. "yes i did, make sure to grab the my shampoo i ran out last night!" you reply, your eyes glued to the computer screen. jake walked over, looking at you like a lost puppy with a slight frown on his features. "did you hear the other thing i said?" he asked again, you shaking your head as you met his gaze briefly before going back to the computer. it was really hard not to laugh, considering he hasn't realized yet. "nope, is everything alright?" you responded, tilting your head as you glance back at him. jake tackles you off the chair and onto the kitchen floor, his hands reach your sides to tickle and pinch them to incite your laughter. "i know you heard it, say it back" jake laughed as you pushed his hands away frantically. from that day on, you learned not to ignore his affection, at least for the sake of how ticklish you were.

sunghoon

forgets about whatever he needed to do that day, decides to annoy you enough that you'll say the three little words he wanted to hear. starts with following you around the house, crossing his arms as you continue on your day without give him much attention. proceeds to poke you repeatedly, which ends with you pushing his fingers away from your body. finally ends with him clinging to you like a koala, his tall figure slumped over yours, as he complains about how you don't love him anymore in a song-like voice. "has anyone ever told you you're annoying sunghoon" you tease, sunghoon glaring at your childishly. "clearly someone who hasn't been saying i love you back" he retorts, making you lose your initial composure and kissing his cheek. "sorry hoonie, i love you" instantly makes a smile appear on his features, feels like he's has been reawakens and spins you around in his own happiness. only for the two of you to end up on the floor after he gets dizzy, which results in you two staring at one another before laughing.

feigns a shocked expression, watching you across the room as you continue to read your newest book as if you didn't just ignore him. he huffs as he stomps in front of you, plucking out the soft covered book and crossing his arms. "do you have anything to say?" sunoo stared at you, you only staring at him innocently as you reach for the book in his hands. sunoo proceeded to put the book over his head, squinting at you as if to say come and try it. after about thirty minutes of a impromptu staring contest, sunoo sighed and turned on his heel. "i GUESS someone doesn't love me" he complained somewhat jokingly, slowly walking away in attempts to make you feel bad. you rolled their eyes, already over the joke and hopped onto his back. sunoo yelped, especially when you started kissing his cheeks and repeatedly said how much you loved him.

notices the phone as he comes back into the room to ask for his good-bye kisses and affections, making a funny face before kissing your cheeks. "can't get me with that prank, nice try though" he laughs, walking towards the phone and ending the recording. you crosses your arms with a huff, rolling your eyes at your failed attempt. "no fair, the others probably showed you it" you complain, tugging him back into bed and laying on top of him as a sign of protest. he shakes his head, already seeing his morning continuing here instead of the place he had to go to. "nope, pretty sure you sent it to me instead of your friend and even sent a messaged saying 'omg jungwon would totally react to this if i did it' he mimics your voice, putting air quotes around the message and smiling when you leaned down to shut him up with more kisses.

also a pouty baby, but totally the type to ignore you. acts a bit chlidish but oh well. he knows what you're doing and wants to play too. cue the silent household, the enhypen guys looking at the two with worry and confusion when they sit on the otherside of the couch. this lasts 1 day at max. since niki crumbles first when he feels touch-starved, wrapping his arms around you in bed and showing you his frowning lips. "(y/n) talk to me, i know you're just not saying it on purpose" niki whined, a small smile forming on your lips as you wrap your arms around him as well. cupping his cheeks in your hands, you leave kisses on his cheeks and lips, making niki grin in satisfaction. niki connects your lips to his while holding you close, already forgetting why the two weren't speaking in the first place.

sunghoon laces his fingers with yours, your body giddy with excitement as you swing the picnic basket in your free arm. you flash him a childish grin as you both wait for the traffic light to turn green, sunghoon returning an amused grin at your eager behavior. a week of planning a picnic has you two in large park minutes from the subway station, your favourite snacks and sunghoon's surprise lunch waiting to be consumed and enjoyed over laughter; just the two of you sitting in each other's presence. the two of you finally had a day to yourselves, no distractions and the perfect weather to enjoy as well.

after finding what was you determined was the 'perfect spot', sunghoon lays out the blanket and you eagerly bring out the food afterwards. "someone's a little excited" he teases, crossing his arms as you arrange the food in such a way and snap a few photos. "well i'm really excited to spend time with you, is something wrong with that?" you reply, the same grin from before still evident on your face as you reach out for him to sit beside you. he chuckles, shaking his head as he indulges and joins you.

"this is so good hoon! did you recently learn how to make this?" you question mid-bite, sunghoon laughing as he reaches for a napkin to wipe the side of your mouth. "i convinced jay to teach me something, but i'm glad you enjoy it" he answers, kissing your forehead as he pulls away to grab his phone. he sneaks a few photos of you, smiling to himself as he tenderly admires the way you look in the photos.

the two of you sit for a few hours, the sunset joining you after you both finish your snacks. you're snuggled into his side, his arm supporting your head as you both watch the warm colours paint the sky. your phone hums with your playlist in the background, both you silent as you gaze at the beautiful scene above you.

"it looks really pretty" you whisper, your eyes twinkling with wonder at the beautiful sunset.

"yeah, i think you're really pretty too" he replies, his eyes finally moving from admiring you to the sky you were complimenting. he smirks to himself at his comment, all while you blush in embarrassment and pinch his side teasingly. he wasn't wrong though, you were stunning in his eyes. though finding words to describe you endearingly would go on for ages and would probably result in you chasing sunghoon till he shut up.

[8:21am] "hee, i have to leave soon" (y/n) complained, their attempts to push the male away failing as his grip tightened around their waist. heeseung refuses to let (y/n) go despite being half asleep, burying his nose into their neck. "heeseung i know you can hear me" (y/n) added, heeseung shaking his head in denial. "no i can't, i didn't hear your alarm go off so you don't need to leave yet" he pouts, (y/n) rolling their eyes as they give up on moving his arms. "heeseung i have an important meeting today, after work i'm all yours" (y/n) tried reasoning, reaching for their phone to turn off the third alarm they set up last night.

"but that's 8 hours away from you darling, i don't think i can do that" heeseung whined, now sitting up behind (y/n). his head resting on their shoulder as he wraps his limbs around them like a koala. (y/n) blushed at the nickname, cheeks feeling warm and glowing from the sun shining through the curtains.

in fairness (y/n) had stayed later at work for the past few days, racing to finish the files needed for the next day and ended up falling asleep at the couch. heeseung frowned when he saw them, (y/n) promising affection after being away for so long only to miss the bedroom by a few feet.

(y/n) sighed, seeing the time and deciding to just give in to his clingy antics. leaning back into his chest, (y/n) closed their eyes briefly while enjoying the affectionate pecks on their shoulder blade from heeseung. heeseung smiled to himself at his little victory, continuing to snuggle closer to their body.

[2:11pm] "hurry hyunjae, we'll miss the baked goods if we take too long" (y/n) huffed, almost dragging the mentioned person towards the café. he laughed at their rushed steps, following along with their antics as he shook off the concerned stares along the street. (y/n)'s favourite bakery finally brought back their favourite baked goods for a seasonal promotion after almost three months, and they were excited to say the least. (y/n) was determined to secure the sweet treats since they weren't able to go with hyunjae that last time they were available.

"sweetheart, it's like the middle of the afternoon i'm sure they'll have lots to hand out" he tried to reason, tugging them back as they almost walked into incoming traffic. maybe they were a little too excited.

(y/n) blushed as they stood behind the male, soothing the possible bruises that were forming from their tugging by pressing a soft kiss.

"you're right, sorry" they apologized sheepishly, hyunjae pulling them close to kiss their temple as he wore a reassuring smile on his features.

finally arriving at the cafe, (y/n) let go of hyunjae's hand to go peer at the illuminated glass display case to see the baked available for sale. their eyes sparkled seeing the warm pastries, already imaging what they'd taste like. "which one are you getting (y/n)?" hyunjae asked, his hand finding a place on their hip while peering at the pastries over their shoulder.

"maybe the strawberry cheese tart or maybe the mini cheesecakes?" (y/n) answered, contemplating which one they really wanted to try. though the answer was already settled when hyunjae left his place to order for the two, making sure to add (y/n)'s points card as well.

"hey I was supposed to treat us today" (y/n) wore a pout as they walked to a table with their pickup number in hand, hyunjae chuckling as he shook his head. "no since i was busy the last time you wanted to go together, my treat" he patted their head before messily shaking their hair, (y/n) swatting his hand away with a frown and glaring eyes. they both sat across from one another, (y/n) rolling their eyes as they tried to smooth their hair. "don't do that I wanted a nice photo with the baked goods" they complained, hyunjae smilingly amusingly as he rested his elbow on the table while holding his chin in his hand observing (y/n).

even when the food and drinks came, he continued to observe them with a grin forming on his features. maybe it was how their eyes lit up like it was christmas day when their order finally arrived, or how much (y/n) had to say about the pastries that were oh so wonderful. hyunjae only snapped out of his thoughts when a spoon came into his vision, (y/n) holding it out for him to eat. hyunjae smirked as he noticed how innocent (y/n) looked, waiting for him to try and tell him how it is with excitement in their eyes. maybe the teasing that was slowly bubbling in his mind could wait, as he complied and ate.

"hm that's pretty good, maybe you'd let me taste the other one" he added, (y/n) already going to break off a piece of tart. hyunjae reached for their hand to stop them, his smirk returning on his features as he spoke.

"no love i don't mean with the spoon" lent over and pecked the side of their lips where some remains of the pastries stuck, leaving (y/n) speechless as they blush furiously at the sudden act. okay maybe the teasing couldn't wait till after.
