hey, everyone

My name is Mariana and for 11 years I've been making fantasy creatures by hand with polymer clay.

This little business has been my lifeline, but with the new US tariffs, shipping my work to my largest audience will become almost impossible after August 29th. The US has always been my main market. Losing it means losing the majority of my income overnight.

I’m an immigrant and refugee, rebuilding my life in Spain after fleeing Venezuela. I live with chronic pain, which makes finding a traditional job difficult. Art has been my everything and I don't want to give up just because of president Trump's ideas.

But I need time and support to survive while I pivot my work toward digital content, physical patreon rewards, and marketing to other countries, or if none of this works out, a traditional job I'm able to do.

So I'm launching a Ko-fi campaign to help me get through these next few months.

a feel like the new generation of fanfic readers NEED to understand that clicking on a fic (interaction) does nothing. ao3 has no algorithm. your private discord discussions of fic do not reach the authors. if you do not actively engage with writers they will stop posting. this isn’t social media this is community.
