It had been a while, and he was finally starting to settle into the routine of ‘normal life,’ but there was still the occasional hang up. Like now, sitting in the passenger side of one of his brother’s babies, and staring out at the densely packed crowd of pedestrians that stood between them and the store.

He had said he wanted to come, knew he needed to, and yet… he was beginning to wonder if that was really a good idea. Sure, there had been progress in the time he had spent recovering with his brother, but was it enough? What if he slipped up and had another meltdown in the middle of all these people? What if he gave Saeyoung another mess to have to clean up?

Trembling fingers clenched into fists as his heart hammered erratically. He couldn’t do this, he couldn’t, he couldn’t–

The words caught him off guard and he jerked his attention to his twin, his breath a short stutter as he stared at Saeyoung. Even without saying anything, it seemed the other had noticed his fears and moved to quell them before they became overwhelming.

It was surprising just how well he managed that.
