Squid game season 3 spoilers
In the second season the frontman was so well developed, when the series started to explore his complexity and internal conflict. There was a lot to do in the third season! He had a short screen time, most of the time he appeared, he was wearing the mask, he was always with the VIPs, so we didn't have much opportunity to see him alone fighting with himself. His conversation with Gi-hun lasted less than 5 minutes, when it should have lasted half the episode! It should have been a long and dramatic conversation, where he could open up to Gi-hun, tell part of his story, why he is the frontman and why he decided to enter the game, and still be forgiven by Gi-hun. Besides that, we practically had no interaction between him and his brother... That was such a weak ending...

Gihun died without knowing there was someone who understood him and loved him. The confrontation scene sucked ass, literally nothing fucking actually happens?! 😭 This was what everyone waited 6 months for???!!!

Lee byung-hun: Many people wonder "why is the frontman so obsessed with Gi-hun?" That's something I've thought about a lot too. My interpretation is this: Gi-hun wins the game and walks away. But then he decides to come back to destroy the system from the inside. That choice... The frontman sees it. And maybe in that moment he sees a reflection of himself. A version of who he once was or could've been. So in some way, maybe there's a kind of attachment. But when he sees Gi-hun trying to take it all down, he thinks: "Let's see what happens." "If you go through this again, will you still believe in people?" "Will you still have hope?" "Let's see if you still fight for justice in the very end." Because the frontman believes Gi-hun will end up like him: disillusioned, broken, changed. So he keeps watching, trying to break his spirit. But at the same time, there's conflit inside him. His face is hidden, so his emotions are, too. But I believe even behind that mask, there are moments of doubt, hesitation, even regret. Maybe deep down, he's rooting for Gi-hun to do what he himself couldn't do. Maybe he hopes Gi-hun will succeed. Even just a little. And at the same time, there's envy, too. He sees Gi-hun staying true to his beliefs, something he could never do. That mixture of hope, jealously, confusion– it was all very difficult to express. But also, incredibly rewarding as an actor.

question: Could we see a frontman spin-off one day?
So... Is this a confirmation that the frontman will not gonna die in season 3? [🤞🏻]
