I live in complete poverty and disability. Trying to make art to sell as prints as I am not getting commissions the way I used to. I am disabled and diabetic, immunocompromised from recent surgery, and I live in a traditional filipino house partially destroyed by storms and termites. I work 3 jobs, but they are all very unstable. Please please please, if you've ever derived joy from my art or insight from my posts or book recs, if you could pick up a print, send a tip, or subscribe to my patreon where I have 400+ exclusive drawings / early access, it would help keep me alive, in the most literal sense. hey everyone, I posted a great deal of new art on my patreon, here are some crops! I get paid tomorrow.

what are you waiting for? someone to grant you permission? the perfect and permanent emotion? a shooting star to magic away every problem you have or ever have had? alright, wait away then. but no one is going to live your life for you while you wait to become someone else

It's a bit silly that when you do art for a living, people think you don't do emotional labor, but man, I've drawn for a guy who was planning to gift his gf an anniversary gift and she passed away in the middle of me drawing it for them, I've drawn for a woman who wanted me to draw her daughters oc and she randomly dropped "It's my last gift for her because I've been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor". I've drawn rabbits, cats and dogs as memorial pieces for people and their beloved pets, I've drawn dnd group shots for sessions that lasted years, Now coming to an end because the dm died. I don't know. It feels so, immense to be a part of people's lives like this. I have cried so many times because people were cruel to me over commissions, but I have cried harder because people were kind to me. I wonder if the art helped. Even a little. I hope it did.

⠁ ⠀⸻ this four-page, single-muse character template is FREE TO USE (F2U) and full of celestial whimsy. it is loosely inspired by vintage circuses and miniature theatres, as well as Henry Selick's adaptation of the Coraline novel. it is full of blue, teal, the moon, and stars. it is quite customizable, but please try to match your theme to the curtains! otherwise, I think it might look strange.

this template was so fun to make! i love how simple it is. whimsigoth is a personal favorite for me as well. P.S., i know there is controversy regarding the literary novel Coraline, due to it's despicable author. however, I am not aware of this staining Henry Selick's adaptation--to me, they are completely separate creations, and the movie, I've heard, isn't that accurate to the book. but if this is problematic in any way, please notify me, and I will promptly edit this template to remove all Coraline-related motifs.
