usually, i try to base my HC on source material, even if they are a stretch. But one of my unfounded headcanons about Blurg (that i conjured out of thin air) is that he was born and raised in the fishing village

which also brings assumptions that he can sail, or at least boat, can weave (nets and fishing baskets), knows his way around all things fish and fishing basically, and that fishing is not a hobby to him, but rather an idk, foraging activity?, and fish dished are a comfort food

I started a Noir AU for BG3 (still with magic, just also with guns and tech as well). Did some sketches a year or so ago to help me write it. 😊

The fic isn't done yet but I have a good idea of where I want it to go...

Recently realised, I never posted cp Au Tagor.

He is a crime against the natural order

Lore for those interested:

He is the group project between a small faction Gith, mindflayers and some others that are fed up with everyone and everything.

They are a quite resourceful group, with a big budget and zero of it spent on the ethics committee.

The goal of the experiment is to mimic Orpheus powers, with a mix of Githyanki technology and mindflayer psyonics.

The result was an engine, that gives the attuned person the ability of being near the tear for a short time and use some psyonic powers. Theoretically.

In praxis all the thing does is kill the user in a minutes or few hours in an agonising way. Additionally it’s absolutely massive.

Luckily there were plenty of test subjects in the downs, just waiting to be grabbed. Through trial and error it was discovered that more constitution equals slightly slower death.

With that information the focus from now on was on half orcs, dwarfs, hobgoblins and everything else easily accessible and hardy. While the end goal is making the engine usable as a military weapon to start a coup, the now goal is to get it working at all, then simplify

The next idea was gen manipulation, testing multiple species and making them as hardy as possible.

Of multiple tries only one worked as well as hoped, a hobgoblin troll hybrid. A creature tougher than it has any right to be, able to grow back dismembered limbs and natural regenerativ abilities.

Naturally they hooked the thing to the machine and it worked flawlessly.

Sure, they had to remove all but the vital organs and replace them with something that can hold the engine, but it works!

The result is one three meter all man made horror beyond comprehension.

The psyonics abilities of the prototype worked well, a bit too well, seeing as they resulted in the beast disguising its form in the way intellect devours do and just strolling out of the facility.

The worst thing about the experiential is, that took forever and it's still kinda bad for how many people they killed in the process.

Couldn't figure out how to make the engine smaller so they just made their test Subjekt giant and attached a whole other body for more space.

And they can't even replicate that after that subject immediately ran away

The creature was later picked up by Glaca and lives in her apartment like a house cat ever since.

It enjoys watching romcoms, sitting on the couch and eating all the food, if there is no more food it looks for more.

While it has humanoid intelligence and can talk with a normal and psyonic voice, it just prefers not too
