vicky schmidt is literally my favorite character EVER. ik she’s just a playable character in a dating sim but her character means SO SO much to me and AUSGDIAGDJSD 💕💖💞💘💘💓💗 i love how sweet she is, how positive she is, how much of an absolute NERD she is, how much she loves birds, her design, EVERYTHING. i rlly like how as the games have went on, they’ve been more and more honing in on how vicky is a total nerd. it’s literally her title (?) in the monster prom card game (shown below) ↓

GAAAAHHHH I LOVE HER SO MUCHHHHHH!!!! she’s also very autistic-coded to me so i find a lot of comfort in her character <333 yes indulge in your bird-watching, girl!!!! search up everything you can about birds after seeing one cool bird fact in a movie!!!!! be the smartest person ever cause you’re just perfect like that!!!!

i’ve looked at some older posts and have unfortunately come across the assumption that vicky is the exact same as scott except girl version. SHE IS NOT. she is an intelligent and kind woman who knows how to be a leader without being super aggressive. whereas scott is much more naive, frequently regarded as dumb (he is THE himbo after all), and more often than not will follow what others tell him to do. and i love both of them for that SO MUCH!!!! but they are NOT the same. just because vicky has a positive outlook does not mean she’s just a “girl scott” (or even another miranda that one guy i saw claimed her to be which… What?) not all happy characters are dumb or innocent. (emphasis on the innocent part cause… here’s vicky sculpting a character from DRAGON HEAT.) ↓

ANYWHOOOOOO that’s basically the crux of my annoyances with how some ppl interpret her character. i love hcs so much (i have MANY of my own for her) but a few ppl just genuinely think she’s dumb and innocent which uhhhh… No. Clumsy? Absolutely. Stupid? nahhhh

i was watching the drawfee halloween episode from like. 2020 where they drew themselves as monsters, and there was a whole bit about how nathan and julia looked like they were awkwardly walking in the same direction, so i figured maybe they were off to hang out with demon-karina and necromancer-jacob and then i got possessed by the art spirit for uh. the span of two other drawfee videos 👍

When a small kid decks their shit and starts screaming, it's apparently useful to ask them "are you more scared or more hurt?" because they might actually pause the shrieking to understand that adults might not automatically know what they are feeling, and that they can and should use words to communicate whether they need emotional support or medical attention.

I wonder if it could be applied to tumblr. Asking shrieking people "are you disagreeing with what OP said, or are you mad about the way they worded it?"

Fun fact: you can avoid midlife crisis by literally simply just skipping it. Straight-up just skip being middle-aged. Once I turned 30 and aged out of the "young adult" bracket, I skipped straight into being a weird little old man. Record youngest bizarre old geezer in generations. Now if I'm lucky and play my cards right, I've got like 80 or 90 years of being a weird lttle old man left in me. If I manage to do a hundred, I'm going to start telling people that the secret to living to 130 is that I ate an entire pine cone every single day.
