Vanalyne, I am so pleased to have just used this as an example for a student making autobiographical experimental work. It is a great jumping off place for using imagery juxtaposed with words to expand the meaning, as well as being a little art historical at this point. She is influenced by contemporary pop/travelogue/monologue videos and I pointed out that those videos would not exist without the work artists did first. I hope all is well. Thank you for your honest and beautiful work. leslie

Dashrath Manjhi (1934[1] – 17 August 2007[2]), also known as Mountain Man,[3] was a laborer in Gehlaur village, near Gaya in Bihar, India, who carved a path 110 m long (360 ft), 9.1 m (30 ft) wide and 7.6 m (25 ft) deep through a ridge of hills using only a hammer and chisel.[4][5][6] After 22 years of work, Dashrath shortened travel between the Atri and Wazirganj blocks of Gaya town from 55 km to 15 km.[7]
