New Talamasca/IwtV Lestat Crossover

The fact that they specifically bring up Ragland James' importance in Tale of the Body Thief, and the fact that in the season 3 promo, Raglan James and Rashid are (briefly) seen together, I think those of us who clocked that Rashid fits the description of the body Ragland eventually steals may be on the right track.

But, fingers crossed, they don't, then give the body to someone else, because Real Rashid needs to become a vampire.

My problem with the Untamed Phantom of the Opera fusion I will definitely not be writing is I don't know who the Phantom should be.

Because, like, I know it feels like Wei Wuxian is a shoe in for the role, but that's not until you realize that the Lan brothers are perfect for the de Changy brothers (Lan Xichen being Philippe and Wangji as Raoul), and Wei Wuxian becomes Christine. Who gave up his voice an/or talent (probably voice) to Jiang Cheng when Wen Ruohan tried to bankrupt the Lotus Opera house and somehow ruined him.

Then, Wei Wuxian became a chorus boy (???) set dresser (???) at the Yiling Opera House, which gets taken over by... Jin Guangshang, who brings JGY to manage it while Jin Zixuan is Carlotta-esq. Meanwhile, WWX has been secretly taking lessons from....

?????????????

And there, it falls apart.

I can read 1 million CQL/The Untamed/MDZS fics, and I will never tire of WWX telling someone he thinks he likes LWJ and the person responding with, "And? Yes? What, like you think we didn't know?" And WWX being like, "I JUST FOUND OUT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU KNEW?"

Okay, so I did come across a excerpt from "The Vampire Armand" where Armand was lamenting that he took a Daniel (don't remember how he described him and I'm too lazy to get up to find my book) and turned him into a killer. But (spoilers ahead):

Book Armand and Daniel are in such a different place than their show counterparts. For one, Armand had recently had a reckoning with his Christian faith and tried to walk into the sun. That is not where he was at the end of S2.

2. Daniel is not the young idealist he was in his twenties. He's an old man with all the triggers that come with it, crotchety, angry, a fighter, and dying of 'natural' causes, not through his own actions. The shine has worn off the penny, so to speak, and Armand doesn't really need to worry about stripping the wool from Daniel's eyes and forcing him into another world.

3. This Armand seems to enjoy the hunt more than book Armand. I think he'd enjoy Daniel enjoying it too.

In other news, I'm going to need them to strip Daniel of his shirt real fast so fandom writers can get a better sense of what's under there. I'm leaning toward some softness, but he's kept himself up pretty well (have you seen his arms?).

Armand seems to like killing. I don't think, once Daniel's turned, he'd have a problem with Daniel doing it.

My favorite thing is on either threads or Insta, the AMC+ account (I think) used that picture (or a similar one) on the "backstage pass" and someone was upset they recast Lestat.
