Found Family 🖼️

Can you believe it’s been months since I last drew Diasomnia?! I wanted to draw a very literal interpretation of the found family of Diasomnia with them combining various photos of themselves to make their own family photo. I tried to play around with the ages of Diasomnia in the various photos as well as formal vs casual with Malleus’s picture is like a royal portrait while Sebek’s is a polaroid of him as a kid.

Hope you all enjoy getting to see Diasomnia again! I think I’m going to start sketching the next part of the Sebcroc comic…might also work on something for Knight of Dawn and Leah, but who knows 🤷‍♀️

Personally I’m not a fan of Kalim being a massive idiot. LET ME EXPLAIN

Kalim is based off of the doinky king from Aladdin, and he’s rich and spoiled so he doesn’t really have perspective on the world. But YOUR HONOR I ARGUE THE BOY BEFORE ME IS NO FOOL!!

I mean he can do foolish things, but I like to hc a lot of his air headed/forgetful/illogical reasoning is just because he’s never had the opportunity to learn how to think for himself. Jamil and other servants have always done everything for him, so he never had any practical learning.

Example: cooking. He never learned because it was always the servants duty. He would surly benefit from learning to cook for himself for a multitude of reasons. But if ever he goes in the kitchen he gets kicked out for messing it up. Obviously!! He’s clumsy and he’s never done any of this before! But the servants freak out because their heads could be on the line if he’s served bad food (even if he made it) or if he gets hurt (even if he hurt himself by accident) so they kick him out and reassure him that everything if fine

anyways, I imagine that sort of things applying in a lot of ways. Struggling in class? Just give him the answers and it’ll be fine. Unable to manage his time? Just manage it for him.

This idea is perpetuated by staff, and so Jamil picks it up too, but in a practical level becomes infuriated when he has to do everything for Kalim, and gets mad when Kalim can’t handle himself.

It’s because he’s never been ALLOWED to handle himself.

I’ve always been a fan of the idea that he is totally willing to struggle to learn something, that he’s willing to suck at something and try again, like with magic or drums.

But the only reason he learned how to do either of those is because he learned them away from Jamil and the Asim family servants.

Ramble over lol just had to get that off my chest. I hate it when people make Kalim genuinely slow LMAOOO

Hello everyone, today will do another update on Indonesia, but it wont be like my other uodates bcause I am tired, angry, and scared with all the news around us that just keeps worsening.

A while ago, the government dropped a news that the people of the parliament will receive a large sum of money support from the country, around 100 million rupiahs or roughly around 6000$, PER MONTH. While the people here are struggling to eat, teachers and lecturers, especially those teaching in rural parts of Indonesia ARE NOT PAID. Even if they are, they're barely reaching the minimum wage. All while the people of the parliament get paid a large sum of money for doing nothing and corrupting the country. These people are dancing and singing in the parliament house while people literally outside their places live crammed, barely making 180$ a month. And for Jakarta? That barely covers necessities.

A few days yesterday, angry citizens started moving. At first they swarmed and broke into the parliament house. Then a massive protest was held in front of the parliament house (mostly by college students). The people are mad. The police started spraying tear gas and high pressure water towards the crowd (classic move). Eventually, ojol drivers started joining the protest (think: uber, uber eats drivers that use cars and motorcycles). One person got killed by getting ran over by the police. ONE PERSON GOT KILLED BY GETTING RAN OVER BY THE POLICE, A 21 YEAR OLD OJOL DRIVER, PROBABLY A BREADWINNER IN HIS FAMILY. And a lot more victims of brutality and violence and missing people. It doesnt stop there as well, Karet station are getting shot with tear gas, where non protesters are trying to get on with life.

Please spread this, read this, our news canal are silent, there are no news canal in our country broadcasting this. I've seen an Australian news canal broadcasting these news but not ours. I'm scared for the lives of the people, I'm scared for my own, and I genuinely don't know what to do to help the people in ways that won't put my parents' life in possible danger. And as I always say, please educate yourself more about this matter. There are a lot of overwhelming news around, I can't gather them all alone in one post. Thankyou.
