there's a pressure to being a town hero , saving lives and kicking butt is only part of it . being good is engraved into her , into her very being. as if the atoms that assembled for her creation were specially made , bright and positive , by the universe itself . her sisters are the same , mostly -- buttercup is more chaotic than blossom would like : filled with a rage that's easy to trigger and ready to pounce at any moment , easy to instigate . bubbles is inherently good , an innocence that makes it easy to take advantage of her at times . blossom makes it a habit to keep an eye on her . on both of them . but that comes from the nature of being the leader .

& the only reason she's offering her notes to him is because SHE'S GOOD and [ . . . ] it makes her feel good , even if it's a little more complicated when it's @madestars . their relationship , bad wording , their dynamic is more .. arduous than that of their siblings , who have found their own ways to get along and play nice . brick and blossom on the otherhand ... there are spells where they get along . they have phases , getting along just for it to go down the drain, thanks to their natures . GOOD VS BAD . the peace comes just before the calamity though, and it's difficult to find the balance there. it ' ll always be this way . she's altruistic , selfless for all the right reasons and he's selfish for all the wrong reasons . she's able to watch him with a careful hesitance, reminding herself again that THIS WAS A BAD IDEA ; A TERRIBLE IDEA !! a temporary truce, she'll be throwing in the garbage .

she may be a hero , but that doesn ' t stop her from wanting to be her own person , her identity is hers despite the shared DNA , she knows who she is. yet , she finds herself doing these stupid things , perfumes and makeup ; advice from bubbles , new fashion choices , she doesn't know what she's looking for really , doesn't know why she's suddenly caring what he anybody thinks , why he's been stuck on her mind -- she chalks it up to the fact that he was sick and that she's just a caring person ! even if it's one of boys that nearly took out townsville at one point ( she ' s been trying to tell herself that's all in the past ) .

fire , aching + sharp , pain whips up her side . naturally , a by - product of being a hero is getting hurt , and the powerpuff girls are no exception — though , normally the chemical X that surfs through her blood works quicker at restoring the damage done to her body , she can feel it lagging . sluggish where it does work , likely a side effect from the continuous blows taken ; not enough time for the chemical X to do it's job at the rate it's supposed to.

as if they're all shackled together : the rowdyruffs are there too . a part of her , a very small, miniscule part of her, is kind of relieved for it if only because they've helped avert some crisis. ( in no word does this mean she fully trusts them however ) gaze , made of a garden of azaleas , watches as her sisters gather with their own counterparts + she's hyperaware of her own — she tries to fight the impulse to look , seek him out , but she loses . not like he was far anyway , that stupid cap turned backwards with his mouth opening for what blossom assumes will be an insult of sorts.

shoulders tighten , offended by the comment of her nature . mom. there's a part of her that tries to break out sometimes, a part of her that begs her just to act out of the norm, for one day : if only to prove buttercup wrong. she loves her sisters, both of them were adored and respected by plenty, including blossom but -- well , of her sisters ? buttercup could be the one she opposes the most, arguments and bickering between them weren't uncommon at all .

the digits of her opposite hand pull at her skirt, far too short for her comfort . somehow convinced to be a fairy of all things . she could've been a mage of sorts or ... something other than a fairy . it doesn't feel too fitting to her personality, unless you count the fact that she can fly and float.

a scoff can be heard jumping from her, the roll of her eyes chasing it, lips turn down in a frown, a look of disgust almost replacing the otherwise stiff expression . ❝ i'm not covering for you if you wind up too plastered to get home ❞ her words edge into a warning, but they all know better. blossom, if anything, will stay sober to ensure that her sisters stay at least somewhat responsible . ❝ and i'm not covering for either of you if you hook up with somebody . ❞ her eyes dart between the green and blue of her sisters' , a pointed look that means that she's being serious .

eyes roll at her sister's demand, but she still exhales a sigh, agreeing with a nod, "okay, mom," she can hear bubbles trying to contain her chuckles as they begin walking down the road - it's the middle of nowhere, the halloween party is located in the outskirts of townsville, way past the welcome sign and into the countryside. the beat down, red barn at the end of the dirt road, you can't get it wrong, girls.

but blossom has been bitching all night about how they shouldn't even be doing this, and bubbles has been screeching at every bug that crosses their way. still, they tread forward, and buttercup has liked her arms with her sisters' as they walk (an instinct to protect, to guard).

their costumes have been handmade by bubbles herself, who cannot shut up about how cute they look - buttercup is just impressed she could sew her a whole-ass rogue costume in two days. not to mention her angel costume and blossom's daphne blake's.
