Lessons Learned
A few other notes on lessons learned so far for our team:
-We got stuck spinning our wheels more than once and lost time trying to work something small out perfectly, rather than just getting it done. After recognizing that, we took advice from our mascot and just started shipping it by defining clear and executable time boxes for tasks and sticking to them.
-The initial team was backend heavy with only one dedicated front end developer. We realized this problem early and added Frank to the team, but it would have been better to have started with him. Lesson for next time.
-User workstation standardization from the beginning is important so that everyone has the same configurations.

Juliet whipped together this survey at the start of our first sprint, and the feedback we’ve been getting has been invaluable to the development of our Epics and our App.

Monday Morning Sprint
Frank got his software set up during the morning, so that he could officially join our scrum development team for the afternoon.
Lance is enjoying his week in Florida, so the rest of us just have to live vicariously through him.
Juliet continued analysis on survey data from some new responses we received over the weekend, and also worked on layout design for the homepage.
Ravi and Clare came together to do some backend work on the data we’re displaying on the Home page, and Tom wrapped up making the connection between the login function on the back and front ends.
Mark & I have been refining users stories and planning for the afternoon.
4840 West’s Builder Squirrel has been busy ^_^

I love this protopage Lance set up for us to use - it gives a quick over view of where the team is at and reminds me of those old customizable Google homepages :)

End of Day Three
Our team is growing stronger. After some confusion over ill-defined user stories and acceptance criteria, we came together today and efficiently fleshed out the next round of user stories with more input from the scrum team and detailed expectations laid out in the acceptance criteria. It helped us unite our communications as a team and made the rest of the afternoon flow much smoother. We felt like it was a strong ending to a good week, and look forward as a team to digging in deeper next week!
