in my post-canon verse I think Vio doesn't try to bring Shadow Link back

actually, he actively tries to avoid outwardly acknowledging Shadow was even a part of his life. Vio wants Shadow to stay dead.

Vio betrayed Shadow for the sake of Hyrule, and if he could go back in time, he'd do the same exact thing again. but it doesn't change the fact that he damaged Shadow and his counterparts' trust in the process. maybe, in a way, it makes it worse. like he's appalled at himself for justifying how much pain he's caused. if Vio could excuse himself for betraying Shadow and hurting his comrades for "greater good", then what else would he excuse himself for? how far would he take it?

I think in a convoluted way, Vio doesn't necessarily feel guilty for what he did. he feels guilty for NOT feeling guilty in the moment. it's like a "wow I really did that" reflection kind of guilt

it's a deeply uncomfortable feeling to have, and Vio has no idea how to work through it. so instead, he just tried to repress it. Hyrule is saved, Zelda is saved, his family is alive and well. that's all that matters. Vio has to tell himself this in order to live with himself

but then Shadow comes back into Vio's life—against both of their wills—and Shadow is furious. that's when Vio realizes he doesn't have a choice: he can't run away from his guilt anymore

That and Blue is consistently drawn with much thicker/darker eyebrows than the others. It's actually easier to tell who is who by the eyes/eyebrows (Blue: dark, thick eyebrows + large pupils + square eyes / Vio: thin, pale eyebrows + small pupils + half circle pale eyes / Green: thick, pale eyebrows + pupils blend with dark top half of iris + round eyes / Red: dark, thin eyebrows + large pupils dark irises + round wide innocent eyes) except for in the initial panel showing the split, bc it's just the same Link pose layered over itself four times.

OK I'm more than likely overthinking this but it's starting to bug me.

Like, I redrew this panel so sure it was the first option, but that was before I had properly reread the manga. I had no doubts that was the order because of their body language and faces.

But the tunics?? It's established immediately after the four sword is pulled.

Vio has the TV static, red and green have the solid colouring with red being darker and green having black sleeves (at least he's the only one to have them consistently) and blue has a gradient.

And this is consistent throughout the manga.

Im more than sure blue is first and I know there are inconsistencies here and there but I'm terrible for overthinking and just want to know if I just straight up coloured the characters wrong??

FISH PART 7:3!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY I HAVE THEM ALL!!!! Vaati was a hell to design, this mf had like. 6 variants. first i made him a normal merfolk, the usual fish guy, then made a squid, then another squid, then an octopus but didn't liked it, went back to fish and finally decided an octopus. i hate him sm. anyways thank you all for being this whole month with me i can't believe that i finally got to do smth properly for mermay!
