I was always fond of sad yet beautiful things.
Like when a character dies the noble way in a book I'm reading. When a nice new song plays and eventually ends on the radio. When a farewell is said after a long awaited departure. Letting a bird fly freely into the horizon after you healed it's broken wing. The last sip of your coffee before you start another busy day. The first raindrop that falls on such a supposedly sunny weather. The music that plays when the credits roll in. The way your dog send you away when you leave the house. And like the colors of the sky just before it turns dark.
There's a promise behind it. It reminds me that there's still magic behind all the pain. There will be bad days but that won't last. There's freedom in letting go...
Happiness can still be fond as long as you learn to accept the good that's mixed with the bad.
I wanted to save the world when I was younger, but my hands we're too small. Atleast I got to save myself...so I'll start from here.

“I can’t tell if my “gut” when it comes to people is really my all-knowing instinct or just my scars from the past that feel like open-wounds even after years have passed. Is it my baggage that is asking me to distance myself from you or is it true? Are you someone with insincere intentions, if not malicious ones.”
— Who can help me tell my fear apart from my insight?

"There are kisses that are given with the soul, without ever touching , kisses that are held in the eyes, in a trembling smile, on flushed cheeks that scream silently, kisses that flood the space between you and me, with every tenderness and passion, conjugated in an infinitesimal space of sublime union. In them are born the verses that ink distills on paper, a feeling so deep that it is eternal. And I can kiss you a thousand times,my love, without your lips ever touching mine when I fill with verses the sea and the sky. "

I love you.
And I don't mean that I love you the way I love ten minutes of extra sleep in the morning, the sound of rain at night, or the way that flowers bloom.
I love you like I have never loved anyone or anything before. It is entirely new and exciting and consuming and beautiful.

Simple ways to enjoy New Year's eve without having to party
Write a letter to your current year to bid it goodbye. Saying everything that was messed up about it and thanking it for all the things it got right.
Reviewing your last decade by taking a few moments to think about each year. You could write a few lines, dedicate a word or illustrate something for each year. It doesn’t have to capture every single thing that you remember about that year but merely its essence.
Go to all your favourite restaurants in the evening before it starts to get crowded and get take out of your favourite dishes and then head home to enjoy your feast.
Call up all your loved ones and wish them all the joy and peace and love for the coming year + decade. You could also take some time to write a tiny personalised message for each person and accompany it with a gorgeous/goofy selfie.
Bake yourself a cake while drinking your favourite beverage (wine, coke, juice, coffee).
Write a letter to your new year, not to burden it with your expectations but to welcome it and to say, ‘I hope we get along well xx’
Follow a fun new year tradition from a country around the world. Like eating 12 grapes, one representing each month of the new year, while making a wish, at the new year countdown or making a list of all the good and bad things that happened to you in the year and throwing it into a fire.
Start a book, so when the new year rings in, you’re halfway done with your first book of 2020.
Have a delicious home-cooked dinner at your home with people you genuinely have a good, peaceful and happy time with. Sure, it could be family or friends but it could also be your neighbour or your co-worker (some of them are sweethearts!).
Honestly, no matter how your NYE or 1st Jan goes, please remember that it’s not a reflection of how the rest of the year will be. I mean, of course, it’s amazing if you have a great one but even if you don’t, just remember that it in no way dictates the way your rest of the year will pan out. Only your daily choices will and in that you must have faith in yourself because it’s 2020 and if you won’t take control of your life right now, honestly, when will you?  Glitter confetti, chocolate brownies and warm kisses xoxo

There used to be days that I thought I was okay, or at least that I was going to be. We’d be hanging out somewhere and everything would just fit right and I would think ‘it will be okay if it can just be like this forever’ but of course nothing can ever stay just how it is forever

Remember that really time when you were going through hell and you weren’t sure you could handle much more, and it seemed your world was crashing down around you, and you really wished it would all end? You handled it. It’s over. You made it.

Getting over it doesn’t mean forgetting it. It just means reducing the pain to a tolerable level, a level that doesn’t destroy you.

There are days that I tend to forget the curve of your lips when you smile; the scent of your body mixed with your favorite perfume; and that adorable laugh that you make when you tell me your silly jokes. I sometimes unconsciously neglect the reality of how your arms always felt like home -- how they would hold me at night as we take a quick nap together, making sure we wake up on time before my parents get frantic about how late it already is. It was one of the most innocent moments we had that I had always felt my heart at its most tranquil knowing I would wake up beside you and you were the first sight to see. As I continue to push you towards the back of my mind, my memories of us kept on appearing; and even now that you’re gone, I still see you in places we used to be.
And now that I’ve been forcing myself to admit that I’ve already forgotten about you, I realize that I haven’t. And I don’t think that’ll every happen. I still remember you over and over and over again, until I couldn’t properly comprehend any more if I were still sane.
The memories you left. The parts of you. The kisses on my skin. The fingerprints on my body. They’re all still here.
With everything you had left behind, It feels like you’re still here.
But you’re not.
At least, not anymore.
