also i wanted to talk to no one in particular about one green headcanon i had

i see lots of people write green as not being into being a gym leader, especially the working with kids aspect, but i always figured he would find it fulfilling and also, on a kinda similar vein, i thought it'd be cute if he carries habits from it even after he leaves. like even as ur rival, he often gave encouragement and tips (in between some sassing and some brattiness but that's his charm) and he would soooo be upping that for the kids. but of course he needs to do the "agh you have defeated me terribly" act for the kids. but also i think when a really good trainer like ethan beats him, he is genuinely a bit frustrated but also really encouraged to keep training

and then also i like to think he keeps any "swears" child friendly. even after he leaves the gym, he doesn't say anything worse than crap or friggin or butt

tip for anyone writing pokemon fanfiction or anything like that... if you wanna write a price in pokedollars, you can use the sign for the ruble (₽)! i always see people doing a regular P, $, ¥, or even just forgoing a symbol entirely, but i recently found out that the russian ruble looks basically the same...

one thing i find a little ridiculous is soulmate aus where soulmates r treated as a 100% no mistakes type of thing but there's also homophobia. like girl i thought it was 100% no mistakes. make up ur mindddd😭
