VERTUO - a sims 4 custom content collection.

introducing probably my favourite set i've created to date - the vertuo collection. i personally love coffee irl, i don't believe i go a day without it. this idea came about when i unfortunately broke my own nespresso machine ( lol ) and i went a lil crazy for about two weeks before my amazing sister gave me her one.

this set wouldn't be possible without the amazing & talented @littlbowbub, who allowed me to use their home barista machine for the functionality. i personally only ever use that machine as i find the in-game coffees to be boring without overrides.

i personally feel as though this is my most "maxis match" set i've created. from the beginning, i've always tried to create items that seamlessly go with the game style & other cc creators style - wether it be with the overall design or the simlish. i've learned alot in the two years i've been creating cc and i feel super proud of my progress - i hope you all do too ♡

i was itching to make some overrides, so here we are with one !! i'v been wanting to do this for awhile now but i kept delaying it because i've been planning some stuff and mid terms is kicking my bum right now ;-; but i hope you guys will love this !!

there are two overrides & two decos - one for students going to foxbury, and the other for students going to brichester !

this is an override, so make sure that you only have ONE of my overrides at any moment, and ensure that there are no other overrides already existing in your game before placing mine in !

okay, real talk I know some subs might be because my Patreon’s set to "followers-only downloads," but STILL!! the fact that none of you unsubbed?? seriously, that makes me SO SO SO SO happy🥰 It really feels like people actually like the mods I make!!

if we’re being honest, I only got into Blender after watching Greenyardsims and L3 00’s rendering tutorials. later, I picked up sculpting and a bunch of other stuff, and honestly? I started modding partly 'cause there were things I wanted that nobody made yet… and also because Blender is just stupid fun, lol

It’s only been like, three months since I first imported my own model into the game my skills are still baby level I can make simple models, UV unwrap, sculpt, and bake textures… that’s about it 🥹. every time I see other creators’ insanely gorgeous cc, I low key bawled my eyes out internally 😭 when will I ever be that good?

MASSIVE thanks to every creator who shares tutorials online , and to those sweet souls who helped me out when I nervously slid into their DMs with questions 🥺 you guys are actual angels <3

painting animation override (+ mini easels, canvas override)

1. painting animation override

a bar stool appears automatically at the beginning of the painting interaction.

the override applies only to small and medium canvases. large paintings use the default animation.

if a sim gets distracted while painting, they will stand up and then sit back down :(

there are two animation styles based on the sim's gender. you can switch between them using my other mod — more info here! you can also set the default ea animation style for individual sims if you prefer that.

this mod works for teen to elder sims and is not compatible with the "kids sims can paint" mod by zulf.

2. functional mini easels

i also made three functional mini easels based on the existing game easels. they can be placed on tables and used for painting.

includes all ea swatches.

use bb.moveobjects before placing them.

3. canvas and frame override

this override changes the thickness and frame of the canvas.

there are three versions with different frame colors — please download only one!

the canvas thickness is the same in all versions. here’s a comparison with the original ea canvas:

also, don’t worry if the easels now show up as “modded” in build/buy. i had to slightly adjust their slots so the new canvas looks right on them. this mod is compatible with any paintings overrides.

this is how the mod turned out! i spent a long time trying to make the sim sit on a real chair and paint — but in the end, it just didn’t work, so i settled on this version instead. feel free to reach out if you run into any issues or have any questions! ❤️
