New Year’s Eve

Strange times, for all of us. This year 2 of my friends visited me at New Year’s Eve in my apartment. We laughed, played board games and drank some champagne. Just normal. 

We had a blast. The past years we went out, to a bar or other friends but this was of course not possible because of the lockdown. One of the two friends drank too much and he told me he wanted to spend the night. This was new to me and I was not prepared. But I said, “of course, why not.”

I have only a small apartment with a large bed and a couch, but no extra blankets for him. So he had to sleep in my bed, next to me. He got undressed up to his boxer, so I did the same. And I was shivering. “What is wrong,” he asked. “Nothing.” “Tell me,” he said. “You can trust me.” And I confessed to him. “Well, I always sleep in the nude. But…” “So?” “Well, we can’t.” “Why not?” He dropped his boxer and showed me his naked body. “I love to sleep naked as well,” he said and jumped into the bed. “O…” I got a red face. “Please. It is your home. Do whatever you want.” And I did. I got naked. I crawled in bed next to him. “You should not be so ashamed for your body.” “How come you know that?” “I know you. I know you think you have secrets, but I know you. I know that you are shy. You should not.” “Easy for you to say.” “No. You have to be more confident. That is all. You’re nice. Nothing wrong with you.” “You almost sound gay.” He started laughing. “If I were gay, we we’re naked with another reason right now.” And suddenly I decided to give him a hug. I felt the naked body of one of my best friend. It did not scare him. It felt good.
