2K ENTERTAINMENT’S SUMMER STATION EVENT

As the weather is getting better, more events are being organized all around South Korea and 2K Entertainment isn’t missing out on that. We are now announcing our Summer Station Project. What exactly does that mean? It means that we will be hosting an open air concert this summer, but this won’t be just any concert. We will be bringing together all our artists for this special event! From groups, to soloists, to trainee’s.. and even staff members will be included in this project as well! Aside from our regular idol groups, we will be combining our soloist with our trainee’s and create groups within those as well in order to bring the creative side out and to bring our members together as a whole! Staff members? Do not be frightened, each staff member will be assigned to an idol group or a trainee + soloist group to help them out in the creative process of this said station project! Do you want to join? Read the guidelines below! 

01. Reblog this before June 30th (30′06′17) to take part (for trainee’s, soloists & staff) 02. Groups will be privately approached about their participation in this project. 03. How to go about this? As a group you will be put together and are expected to come up with an original summer-based performance! You will actively put your creative minds together to plot for the group. The group will be announcing a NEW song and performance. This will be submitted to us with an explanation in our inbox and we will put together a master post of all performances and the overall summer station concert. We will announce a time and date for the said concert (which is when we will post this masterpost with performances/concepts etc) and you can use that for your muse / group to lead up to it. After that, 2K Entertainment will come together for an after pool party to celebrate the coming together of the entire label! More details and exact information / guidelines will follow after we post our lineup (idol groups + newly made trainee/soloist groups)!

minsu’s brows furrowed together, but the concerned look only lasted for a moment. hearing the waves crash upon the beach, the sounds of gulls calling to each other, everything just made him too overwhelmingly happy to ignore. the smile returned to his face, and he turned back to face the sea. 

“well, if you’re sure..!” he looked over his shoulder at lucas a moment, a wicked grin spreading across his face. “then i’ll race ya!” and at that, he took off at a sprint towards the water. was it cheating? possibly, but lucas was in far better shape than minsu could ever dream to be, so he justified it thusly.

sand provided difficult terrain for running, but that didn’t stop him, not even glancing behind him to see how close lucas had to be on his tail. he didn’t stop running until he could just barely feel the cool water on his feet; it wasn’t until then that he spun on his heel to look back at lucas. 

in most ordinary circumstances, lucas could beat minsu in any race hands down—he has, in fact, jokingly racing him to the practice rooms or the lunch room or wherever, laughing as he sped ahead of the other. however, in most ordinary circumstances, lucas wasn’t rooted to the ground in fear, eyes bugging at the sight of the crashing waves.

still, he willed himself to move, one foot in front of the other. it wasn’t a run by any means, or even a walk, but it was something, especially in the face of pure fear. it was worth it, minsu’s grand smile fresh in his mind, all bright and adorable and cheery. he used that as motivation, finally starting to pick up the pace and kind of jog towards the other.

lucas looked toward his feet, suddenly halting quite a few feet away from minsu. the water was crawling around him, staggering backwards to avoid it. he let out a small squeal, though he covered his mouth almost immediately before looking back to minsu, trying to play off his fear. “um...how does it feel? i bet it’s cold...”

Utopia’s Cosmo had been busy with group activities, and with his acting career, which made fans wonder if he’s planning to at least release another solo music. Whether it be an official release or a soundcloud track. minsu practically leapt from the car, smile plastered to his face. “well, considering our lack of swimsuits, i guess we can look for cool shells or something! skip some rocks or what have you…” he paused, then knelt to cuff the legs of his pants a little, beginning to pull off his shoes. “y’know, and maybe dip our feet in!”

while incheon was no busan, it was still nice to be at the beach; smelling the salt and feeling the sand between his toes almost felt like godsend, after being in the city for so long. his older brother had promised a visit back to their hometown at some point, but as he never knew when jihwan would get time, he thought it would be nice to stop by while they were nearby. 

minsu hesitated, however, when he looked back up to meet huiliang’s eyes. “lucas, is something wrong?” he tilted his head a bit as he posed the question. he found it almost impossible to be upset at the beach, but the look on the other’s face said otherwise. 

though minsu’s enthusiastic smiles eased lucas a little, a reminder that this was making him happy so it wasn’t for naught, lucas couldn’t help the unease that melded into his face as he glanced towards the deep, unforgiving sea. his mom always said he read too many stories about sailors and pirates getting lost at sea, and lucas supposed that might be true, but that didn’t change the fact that he was still very afraid.

"that would be fun!” he said, trying to match minsu’s excitement. “sea shells are pretty, and while i’ve never skipped rocks before, i’m sure it’s not hard.” he said, with another cough to try and clear his throat, slowly pulling off his jacket to try and limit his nervous fidgeting, tying it around his waist. he was determined to not ruin this for his friend—he knew the feeling of homesickness all too well, and he knew minsu was missing home as much as he was missing his own, and if going to the beach meant easing that a little…well, sacrifices needed to be made.

at the call of his name, lucas turned, meeting minsu’s gaze. “what are you talking about? the beach is great!” he spoke, a wide smile twisting his face. “the sun, the sand…the sea, what could be wrong?” he added a little laugh for good measure. “beyond that, even, it’s a day off, how could i be upset when i’m spending it chilling with you?”

really, huiliang doesn’t know why he agreed to this. he really, really doesn’t. the trip was supposed to just be some nice day out and away—a big lunch with minsu, maybe some window browsing...just some carefree fun for once.

but now he found himself staring out the window, stomach in knots and hands clammier than they ever are because of course they were headed to the beach. he tugged the sleeves of his jacket over his hands, sucking his cheeks in and trying not to think about the waves crashing over the shore he’s now doomed to see and, knowing his luck, try to play in. he might be able to swing an excuse regarding his lack of bathing suit, but knowing the busan boy, he doubted it would mean much at all.

huiliang supposes it was only natural. what else was he supposed to do when minsu looked so excited at the prospect of going to the beach? he knows he grew up there, it was only natural for him to love the beach so much, how could lucas get in the way of that? his smile was so bright and genuine, lucas couldn’t even protest a bit.

and now, here he was, stuck swallowing his fear as he saw their car slow to a stop, the sickening smell of sea salt and brine tainting the air. he sighed, forcing a smile as he climbed out of the vehicle. he tried to swallow his fear, looking to minsu for guidance.

“lead the way, beach boy!” he said with a little chuckle, ignoring the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. “this is your turf—i’ll follow your lead and what you like to do here.”

She was only able to get one sip from her drink and it was on the floor after that. How?! Why wasn’t the luck never on her side? Honestly, Chaeyeong didn’t know what to do after gasping out of shock. Her gaze was locked on the floor where her coffee was spilled and her hand was holding air as if the plastic coffee cup was still in her hand.

It slowly hit her what happened and without looking who was the cause of her coffee being on the floor, she threatened them first and then her gaze turned towards the male. Oh thank God she didn’t curse at sunbaenim, it would have been another story to tell to her future children.

        ❛Uhm…❜ It was one of those situations when she could be using her sunbaenim card, scold the other and make them feel bad, but instead, she was caught off guard when he offered to buy her a new one. ❛Mocha. And it doesn’t matter where. Also, no need to apologize, really. ❜

honestly, huiliang was anticipating something more than what the other gave him. she seemed very, very frustrated, and with an opener like the one she gave him huiliang was bracing for more brazen, snappish speech. you couldn’t blame his surprise when he was met with softer words instead.

still, his eyes kept darting around in a fit of awkwardness. while, usually, he was a bit more calm in situations where he didn’t know the other too well, his mistake—specifically, the one he couldn’t fix making a mess at their feet—rung clear, at least to him.

he didn’t want to leave it for someone else to clean, but he didn’t have any other choice, eventually just sighing before smiling at the woman. “well...i know you’re probably a little busy, but i don’t want to just leave you here waiting...do you want to come with me, somewhere? you can choose, it’s just still on me.”

she felt so happy to know that another chinese person was is in 2K. knowing and talking to them makes her feel at ease, almost like being in china. she gets homesick a lot and felt the need to talk to every chinese in the company in order to feel better. they know her struggles and she knows theirs as well. smiling so genuinely, she nodded at his answer.

“yes, sometimes i cry because i miss everything from there. and the culture shock i got when i first got here was so terrible. i didn’t really know the language and had a hard time communicating with everyone back then.” she then stopped talking and noticed the male staring at the ground. she starts speaking in mandarin and asked, “huiliang? are you okay? what’s going on?”

huiliang was grateful for the change of language—less so because of any difficulties (though that was part of it), but more just because the mandarin reaching his ears almost felt like a little bit of home, a small piece of china found far, far away in korea.

he smiled, if a little bittersweet, looking back up at her. “it’s nothing,” he began, words flowing so much easier in the familiar tongue. “just...i don’t know. i still haven’t really adjusted much...and it feels like i haven’t been home for an extended period of time in years.” he said, giving a hollow little laugh. it wasn’t exactly an exaggeration, either. after studying abroad in america, huiliang had spent only a relatively small time in suzhou before moving to korea, and he didn’t see the time to go back any time soon. “i miss it. i miss it a lot.”

friendship was an interesting thing—lucas had heard it compared to the ocean and its endless tides many times, sometimes soft and gentle, sometimes rocky and intense, but to him it was often terrifying and unfeeling.

it wasn’t that he was bad with people, or friends, it’s just that he always felt too much, his heart caught in his throat as he listened to his dear friend sometimes. he wanted to be able to soothe his pain, ease his fears, but he could never find the words.

he frowned in sympathy, his eyes softening as he met ian’s gaze. “no, that’s not it.” he said, shaking his head. he thought, pondering his words—lucas didn’t want them to be twisted, wanted his meaning to be clear, his care for ian as open as possible. “you are a very dear friend of mine, okay? i mean it—i know i don’t say it as often as i should, and we’ve both been really busy lately so it’s been hard to find time but....i do. i care about you a lot.” he said, speaking slowly for once, wanting to choose the best words he could to get through to ian. “i promise.”

Recently, Lucas opened an official YouTube account. His first post was a video that’s actually dated a few years old—one of his performances from back when he lived in Suzhou, he noted. He evokes strong emotion with his moves, a dance seeming to tell a story of loss and longing. Still, some wonder why Lucas decided to release such an old and rusty performance as one of his first steps into the spotlight.

“of course!” huiliang said, smiling amicably. as much as he loved his food, he loved sharing it with others just as much. “it’s pretty good—i tried this restaurant i hadn’t eaten from before, and i think i might be going back next time i want to treat myself.” he laughed, pushing the food over to the girl opposite him.

huiliang gnawed on his lower lip at the question, sucking in his cheeks as he thought of an answer. he did, he really did, especially because between studying in america and moving to south korea to train meant that he really hadn’t been home for an extended period in a while.

“yeah.” he said, voice quiet, finally looking back up at yanyan. “i do, a lot...suzhou and seoul feel so much different, and it feels like i haven’t seen my family or anything for years. like don’t get me wrong, settling here has been fine, and i’m making friends and everything is going well! but sometimes, i just...” he trailed off, looking back down at the floor.
