A bit on the project

I dont know why i chose this song.

I’m not even a McAlpine fan. Haven’t watched that show her song was apparently used in either. However.. i guess it stuck with me because i got obsessed with tshd at the same time.

This song is super cool to use for animatics, because it got a lot of parts with absolutely different vibes. Each one is an emotion. Some of them are more rapid and angry, some of them more hopeless and quiet.

There is a very silent part i used for Yoshiki, sitting in front of hikaru’s gravestone in the backyard. It was a sort of pause there to take a breath.

The car scene also fitted to another piece of the song, the one that felt isolated, like you drive in rural roads at night. The part with slow but deliberate thuds felt dangerous and heavy, so i used it for the part where Hikaru attacked Yoshiki, his movements being eerie deliberate and imminent as well, which translated to the music really well - him being not quite in control of himself. And that very last part of the song sounds very calm and sure and mournful, acceptance, and a sense of purpose are clearly felt there. “I’ve got work to do”, yeah, Yoshiki got a village to save

Such a cool song, even though i treated it as another boring pop in the beginning.

Making my first animatic that im planning to post on youtube. Its gonna be The Summer Hikaru died anime themed with Doomsday by Lizzie McAlpine song. My brain brained this for a while now but i didn’t know it would materialise like so.

I had just put the rough sketches together with the music and it turns out 3:40 min right now. jeez.

Anyway, posting this to motivate myself to actually finish it tonight or tomorrow and to see if anyone is like, on the same wave length of mind or smth.
