Hear me out, this is a really random idea of mine but I feel like Helluva Boss should give Loona a girlfriend. It would be really cool to see one of the main characters in a sapphic relationship, especially considering how underrepresented sapphic relationships are in HB, and it would also be pretty cool bisexual rep to show Loona expressing romantic interest in both men (Vortex) and women, rather than slapping the bisexual label on her outside of the show but never once bringing it up in canon.
But representation aside, I think it would be a good move for Loona’s character progression. To me, her character arc is that she’s a troubled, sheltered hellhound who doesn’t know how to interact with people after years of isolation and abuse in the adoration agency. We see it early on in the series with her being super quick-tempered with the other members of IMP and seemingly having no friends, and later in episode 8 where she has practically zero social skills at Bee’s party. In Sinsmas we see her having real friends, which is really nice! I just wish we saw her make these friends in real time rather than have it all happen off screen.
If I were rewriting the show I would love to focus on Loona more and watch her learn to overcome her trauma and trust and befriend people. I think putting her in a romantic situation would be a pretty huge step in that direction and really test her ability to let other people love her and for her to love other people. It doesn’t have to be anything angsty (HB has enough angsty relationships already) but I think a little subplot where Loona goes from being an asshole to everyone around her to someone who is able to have a strong friend group and be in a healthy relationship would be some nice character development.
It honestly doesn’t have to be romantic, it could just be Loona having one best friend she gets really close with, but my lesbian heart yearns for a sapphic romance lol. + it being romantic could resolve Loona having a crush on Tex by letting her healthily move on from him.
Or just have her be in a polycule with Tex and Bee LMAO idc

Ideas like this make me really wish Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss were more connected. It really puts into question Charlie’s characterization as a ruler who cares about her citizens when she doesn’t do anything to help the two most oppressed classes in hell. In all fairness it makes sense for her to focus on the people who are actively being exterminated, but she couldn’t like, order the deadly sins to help the hellborn in their ring & leave them with the responsibility? I’m not saying that would work but she could at least try, no? If anything it not working would make a lot of sense, as it shows how stubborn and totalitarian some of the sins are (ESPECIALLY Satan) and how naive Charlie is.
Her having a well-paid staff is a great idea as well. I never understood how not a single sinner in hell was willing to support the hotel in the beginning (except Alastor obvi) but I’m willing to suspend my disbelief and believe that ā€œit’s hell, they’re bad people, they don’t wanna change and/or genuinely believe change is impossible.ā€ But what about hellborns?? We’ve seen that hellborns aren’t inherently bad people, wouldn’t it make sense for some of them to take initiative working at the hotel, ESPECIALLY if it meant building a close relationship with one of the most powerful figures in hell? It seems like that would be an easy way to make Charlie aware of your cause (rights for imps and hellhounds) & advocate for it. Or at the very least you could get free housing out of it.
Idk I’m just rambling here 😭😭 It really feels like the societies in HH and HB are completely separate sometimes and I get a lot of its likely due to licensing issues but I wish the worldbuilding was a little more consistent between the two.
Nice ideas OP
HAZBIN HOTEL REWRITE: Charlotte Morningstar
Charlie is incredibly intelligent and has a upstanding reputation with the upperclass. She gets along with everyone because of her charming personality.
She’s an advocate for Imps & hellhounds rights. Supports protesters and groups by funding them. She’s wealthy.
She uses her resources. She has the sins, her uncles and aunts, promote her hotel. Also support it as well.
Instead of using the rundown building as a hotel, she just buys an actual hotel building and buys an actual staff. She gives them a great salary.
She tries to study the magic she has but she’s too busy with her hotel that she doesn’t find the time for it
She wears corset’s underneath her suit. No, I’m not giving a explanation.
She doesn’t go to Heaven about her idea of redemption. Not yet at least.
And that’s it for my rewrite of Charlotte Morningstar! I wanted her to be, y’know, an actual princess in hell who is aware of how her society works and the issues that goes on in Hell.

In my previous post I talked about what my main issues when Beezlebub’s characterization are.
So what would I do to fix this?
At one point, Bee’s father is killed (I don’t know exactly how since I know killing demon royalty is a bit of a difficult task, but my working idea is maybe a coup in the Ars Goetia killed him due to his relationship with a hellhound threatening hell’s hierarchy and thus their power). This leaves Bee to inherit the title as the Sin of Gluttony, and although she’s perfectly capable of the job as she has the exact same powers her father did, hell does not respect her authority since she is part hellhound. She has very little authority outside of her own ring and is often berated and shut down by the other sins. She has to fight twice as hard as the other sins to maintain her authority, but even then she still struggles to have a voice in major political discussions as she is often disregarded by the others entirely. In Mastermind, which I intended to cover more in depth eventually, I would have Bee try to advocate for Loona only for someone like Mammon or Satan fo accuse her of pushing her ā€œhellhound agendaā€, forcing her to remain quiet. This would also address one of the biggest criticisms toward Bee, which is that she does nothing to help the hellhounds who are locked up in abusive adoption agencies. My idea is that she genuinely tries her hardest to fight for hellhound rights, but is unable to make an impact outside of her own ring because of other forces, mostly the other sins, not allowing it.
I’d start with making Bee the daughter of the sin of gluttony. Her father was the sin of gluttony, and her mother was a hellhound, making Bee a hybrid between a deadly sin and a hellhound. She’s just as powerful as her father, meaning her hellhound genes don’t make her any weaker, but her very existence is rather taboo. A deadly sin and a hellhound being in a relationship is a HUGE scandal in hell, and them having a child makes it an even bigger deal.
Bee is a very unpopular figure throughout hell and is seen as radical by many, but she is adored by the hellhounds. She is seen as a woman of the people (or a woman of the hellhounds in this case). Although Bee’s political efforts are more often than not shut down, she provides hellhounds with an escape through her parties. She may not be able to uproot the oppressive system, but she can provide hellhounds (and imps) a safe space where they can get drunk and have fun without the judgement of their oppressors. Bee, while in a much more privileged position than pure blooded hellhounds, still suffers discrimination and abuse from the hierarchical system and similarly seeks an escape from the system and her failed efforts. This is where the gluttony aspect of her character comes in, Bee copes with her struggles through overindulgence. She gets wasted to forget about her pain the same way BlitzĆø does in the original episode, and she encourages others to do the same. She’s not actively malicious and does have good intentions, but she’s very self-destructive and encourages others to be as well because she believes that’s the only way to cope with the world presented to her.
How I think this would improve the story:
-Further establishes the hierarchical themes previously established in the show by showing that even a deadly sin faces a type of discrimination because of how strong prejudice against hellhounds is. I think this is an especially good idea if the show makes the Stolitz drama such a major part of the plot.
-Gives Bee more depth and explains why she’s able to interact with and even date a hellhound so casually. She is already seen as a hellhound activist, and her existence as a hybrid in power is a much bigger deal in hell then her dating a hellhound. Her relationship with Vortex is expected.
-Addresses and fixes the criticism that Bee doesn’t do anything for the hellhounds despite the narrative trying to push her as a ā€œgood guyā€.
-It keeps Bee’s well meaning nature that so many fans love while actually giving her gluttonous tendencies.
Anyways I intended to do a full Queen Bee (episode) rewrite next, it might take a while because I wanna try maybe doing a storyboard :)
Feel free to leave any feedback or criticism I’m kinda crazy hyperfixated on HB and rewriting it rn lol
Thank you for reading! ~šŸšŸ¬

I’m starting my Helluva rewrite with where I believe the cracks first started to seep through and the show’s quality started to dip- that being the Queen Bee episode.
My main issue with the episode lies within one major aspect- the characterization of Beezlebub.
Beezlebub, or Queen Bee, is introduced to us as a wild party girl with a big heart. She is the girlfriend of Tex and rules over the hellhounds in the Gluttony Ring. In fact, she pretty closely resembles a hellhound herself, with some smaller design choices like having a brighter color palette, wings, lava lamp hair, etc. to signify she is not a hellhound but of a higher class.
My biggest issue with Bee is that she doesn’t really feel like a deadly sin, not just in her design but in the way other characters treat her. She feels more like a celebrity hellhound in a similar way Verosika is more than she feels like a sin. Even when Tex introduces her to Loona, Loona reacts as if she’s just some really hot, cool hellhound and not a prince of hell.
Although Stolas and Blitzø’s relationship is treated as a giant scandal, Bee and Tex’s is treated as nothing out of the ordinary despite them being further apart on the hierarchy. Asmodeus and Fizz are able to get away with their relationship by framing it as a fetish thing, as the king of Lust having a sexual relationship with a lower class being makes sense with his sin (+ the fact that Fizz isn’t super obviously an Imp and has a more ambiguous appearance helps as well). This is the first time in the series we really see the worldbuilding start to collapse in on itself, this is the first inter-class couple where the expectations of hell’s hierarchy just don’t apply.
Additionally, Bee doesn’t represent the sin of gluttony at all. She’s a partier, sure but far from a glutton. She engages in substances like alcohol and overeating only in moderation, never letting it get to an unhealthy level. When BlitzĆø actually engages in gluttonous behavior, i.e. drinking excessively to cope with what happened at Ozzie’s, Bee immediately shuts it down.
I know all this was done with the intention of being subversive, but it’s a bit too subversive to the point where the show loses the intention of what a sin should be. To further get across my point, let’s look at Asmodeus. Ozzie is also rather subversive, despite being the sin of Lust he condemns sexual assault, is in a committed monogamous relationship, and overall is a pretty nice and well-meaning guy. But Ozzie works as a character because he still actually exhibits and represents his sin. The Ozzie’s episode is the perfect example of this, Asmodeus runs the Ozzie’s restaurant where the whole place is centered around lust and seeks to provide sexual services. Despite his romantic feelings he expresses toward Fizz in private, Ozzie is able to put on the face of the King of Lust when he attempts to shut down Moxxie’s romantic advances. Despite his personal beliefs about romance, Ozzie is able to spread ideas of lust among his customers. Fizz at one point even jokes about selling robo Fizzies for sexual acts in Ozzie’s, and despite his immediate personal disgust with people who engage with this behavior, it’s still implied to be something that is going on in the Lust Ring under the knowledge of both Ozzie and Fizz. The two are able to put on a front that makes the Lust Ring actually lustful.
The Gluttony Ring and Bee fail at this because the gluttony ring isn’t actually gluttonous. The only time we see anything even mildly gluttonous occur in the episode is when Bee inflates the sizes of hellhounds’ food and drinks during Cotton Candy, and BlitzĆø getting hammered to cope with what happened at Ozzie’s, the latter of which Bee condemns and immediately shuts down. When compared to Ozzie, and later Mammon and Satan, who portray their sins pretty well, with the former shamelessly exploiting others for the sake of making a profit and the latter quickly losing his temper and exhibiting complete mindless rage and power during the Mastermind episode, Bee fails as a sin on pretty much every level. Hell, she even looks disgusted when Mammon quickly devours his lunch in Mastermind, despite BEING THE SIN OF GLUTTONY!!!
Bee is an absolute mess of a character, but despite all this she’s still one of my favorites in the show, and that’s because I believe she has (or at least had) the potential to be a very strong character. I mainly wanted to make this post to express my main issue with Beezlebub and the Queen Bee episode as a whole, which is that she doesn’t feel like a deadly sin because
Her existence ignores the pre established hierarchy and throws the show’s worldbuilding out the window (which, considering how important the Stolitz class dynamic is to the show, this is a very bad thing)
She doesn’t represent the sin of gluttony at all, despite her counterparts doing a pretty good job at representing their sins.
Now that I have my main criticism of the character established, my next post will be my ideas of what I would personally do differently with Bee’s character, and eventually do a complete rewrite of episode 8.
Thanks for reading! ~šŸšŸ¬

There's been an uptick in fandom/critical fighting, I've noticed.
Whether you're a fan or a critic, this is a reminder that Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are shows, at the end of the day, and you're all humans on the other side of our screens. Fightin' each other through passive aggressive takes, callin' each other names, and not respecting each other in the slightest ain't productive.
That critic or fan you see; maybe they've got a really bad take or a take you don't agree with. First, take a moment to not get angry at them. Have a respectful discussion with 'em, offer your point of view, and---most importantly---don't be a jackass.
"What if they were a jackass first?" Friend, don't fight fire with fire. If they keep bein' a jackass, you can block 'em, turn off your device, not reply, calm yourself down, and get back to living. Too many times I've witnessed or been a part of a warzone of a comment. And the jackass who keeps bein' a jackass; take a step back, question why you're being hostile, and continue the discussion respectfully. If you can't, then get back to living as well.
This goes out to the antis and the stans, too:
Antis, I get y'all don't enjoy either the show or Vivziepop, but there's tons of things in life to find joy in. Hate is fun and easy, but I promise it ain't good. Your head'll ache and you'll wear yourself down with hate. Start by questioning why you hate.
Stans, I get y'all love the shows or Vivziepop beyond fans, but it's always possible to love or hate too much. Love can turn to obsession, it'll eat you up, and rose tinted glasses will blind you of the red sirens of criticism. Start by questioning why you obsess.
Both stans and antis, let yourself get exposed to fair criticisms and good-hearted enjoyment, respectively. Different perspectives are healthy to get exposed to---it's why I'm first encouraging respectful discussion instead of "don't like; don't engage". That sorta mentality leads to echo chambers, and you won't grow your mindset. Y'all are extremes of the opposite ends. Extremism ain't ever good.
--------------------
I know this fandom causes a lot of division. It can get real toxic when unchecked. So y'all gotta remember to chill when needed. Critics ain't bad, and neither are fans. Some people have takes you don't like, and that's okay. Discuss 'em respectfully, don't resort to bein' a jackass, and remember that we all are people on the other side of our screens.
Have a good day, y'all.

Hello! I’m an aspiring artist and writer with a deep fascination for Helluva Boss. I find the show very intriguing and and full of potential, but am often left disappointed with the narrative canon chooses to follow. I made this blog as a way to explore what I would personally chose to do differently in hopes of improving upon the story.
This blog exists to examine Helluva Boss only as an art form, NOT to discuss any controversies surrounding Vivziepop, production, or any other real people. Those may be important conversations to have, but this is not the place to have them. Please keep discussion of real life drama separate from this blog.
I consider this a critical blog but NOT an anti or hate blog. My goal is to be constructive, not to attack anyone who likes the show. I will keep my posts within the critical tags as to not upset anyone, but anyone, fan or critic, is allowed to interact as long the conversation remains respectful. Please do not harass anyone. I’m here to discuss a cartoon on the internet, nothing more.
I’m not linking my main just yet because I don’t know how people are gonna react since I know both the fandom and critical side of HH can get a bit nasty, so if you wanna refer to me ig you can just call me Bee because she’s my favorite character :)
Also- I have not watched Hazbin Hotel. I may briefly reference it since the worldbuilding between the two shows overlap, but I do not intend to cover it from a critical standpoint. Additionally, if I make any mistakes regarding HH’s worldbuilding feel free to correct me because I will admit my knowledge in that field of a bit limited.
Thank you for reading! :) ~šŸšŸ¬
