Why can't I ever get into normal music why is it always Mr Satire and the convoluted concept album (1976). The ridiculously high budget tour always does the album better. There's at least 2 innuendo songs and three more that Haven't Aged Well but just as many songs that Aged Surprisingly Well so I'm not completely turned off. There's probably a bit where he dressed up as a controversial historical figure. And like, I do mean "he" because it's usually men who make this kind of shit (Genuinely if anyone knows examples of this kind of music by non-men who aren't Re Styles or Kate Bush PLEASE recommend it to me I wanna hear it). There is a trans allegory somewhere in there though, likely unintended. There's definitely some kind of political undercurrent but it's not always clear what it actually is. You cannot recommend it to anyone without 15 disclaimers. I love it nonetheless.

Some factoids about the Semen and Gay Uncle saga that I see people kind of mess up on:

- There are technically three iterations of the saga: Semen and Gay Uncle, Gayvy Jones, and the Davy Jones T-Boy Swag Voter Fraud. - Semen and Gay Uncle had to do with a light-hearted joke about Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel being gay getting taken into debate by a blog that wrote toddler headcanons for Michael Nesmith of the band The Monkees. - Gayvy Jones had to do with a similar light-hearted joke about Davy Jones of The Monkees being taken into debate by a blog that not only was anti-abortion, but wrote rpf of straight Paul Simon mpreg with (out lesbian) actress Lily Tomlin. - While both scenarios have their similarities, both blogs are NOT the same person, and all evidence points to them being TWO DIFFERENT people.

Roger Waters has confirmed he’s working on a re-working of ‘The Dark Side of the Moon. In an interview with, ‘BERLINER ZEITUNG , he said, ““The new concept is meant to reflect on the meaning of the work, to bring out the heart and soul of the album,” he says, “musically and spiritually. I’m the only one singing my songs on these new recordings, and there are no rock and roll guitar solos.” 🎧

November 2021, there was news that Roger Waters was back in the studio working on some new projects. In a recent interview, Roger confirmed that he has been working on a new re-recording of Pink Floyd’s 1973 classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a brand new Dolby Atmos mix and box set release. 🎧
