The identity of the best Disney Princess is a topic fraught with debate. A number of convincing arguments have been advanced for many of the usual candidates, but I find myself inclined to look further afield. Are there any conventionally overlooked characters who might reasonably contend for the title?

Then it occurred to me: as of the 2009 acquisition, Wolverine is technically part of the Disney stable.

The choice is clear.

Now, Wolverine certainly doesn’t look the part… but we can help with that, can’t we? After all, Disney has always taught us that it’s what’s inside that counts, and what better Fairy Godmothers could a man ask for than the assembled artists of the Tumblr-verse?

(Don’t answer that.)

This image set represents an initial foray into remedying Wolverine’s unfortunate lack of access to a reputable dressmaker. If you believe as I do that it’s Wolverine’s time to shine, please reblog - I’ll keep this project going as long as folks are keen to see more.

Additionally, if you’re an artist with a knack for pretty princessery, drop me a line. I’ve already commissioned a dozen pieces, and we’re by no means finished yet; at the time of this posting, I’m looking for up to five artists for the month of October, and I’ll commission five more each month until we get bored and/or I run out of money.
