@fruitbasketball is speaking straight facts and if you can’t realize that, you’re apart of the problem. Azzi’s espy nomination snub for comeback athlete is ridiculous. She has not had a single fully healthy season of college basketball, yet this year she became the MOP at the 2025 final four. She is completely deserving of comeback of the year. When comparing Azzi’s career to Paige’s, both have had devastating injuries, and revolutionary comebacks, but when looking at their years, one led to a loss in the final four, and the other led to that Most Outstanding Player. If Paige can be nominated with her criteria, Azzi is completly deserving as well. This doesn’t discredit Paige’s nomination, it’s regarding a bigger conversation about who the media likes to focus on, and who ESPN chooses to nominate to bring the most attention to their award show.

The media gives more attention to white players over black players and that’s just a fact. Players that make just as much of an impact as players like Paige, Caitlin, or Cooper, but get half the media coverage. Listen to P in her espy’s speech. She would agree.
