New Midam concept and how Michael would deal with grief.

I refuse to believe these two are in any way normal about each other. these two were locked in one body, in a cage, with no one but the devil for like 1200 years. they have become one being to the part that being without the other isn't like losing a limb, it's like losing part of your soul.

now imagine, Adam dies/gets taken somewhere where Michael can't follow and is presumed dead, and Michael will never see him again. The absolute HAVOC Michael would wreak would be immeasurable.

Michael is an arch angel, the crown prince and general of the heavenly host, as old as time itself. And now he just lost the one person who made him feel actual, genuine, unconditional love.

He would not care about who knew about the supernatural, and there would be so many real world ramifications of this.

Every church in the world dedicated to St. Michael would crumble in one day. Every altar that The Archangels name had been spoken over in whispered tones and clasped hands collapses. Every statue, every candle every amulet and picture would shatter into a million peaces.

Not a single person would die of the collapsing churches, not one. Nobody is even hurt, Michael would not allow himself to harm the same kind his love is, was.

There would be no rebuilding. Governments and people can try, but the concrete won't set, and the walls won't stay up, the foundations would crumble and the machinery would shut down. No workers can be on the job site for more then minutes without going near insane with the reflection of the Archangels grief.

Nothing would grow, no flowers, no weeds, no grass. Everything that grows, every plant in the miles around the wreckages wither up and die. Every animal small or big, wild or domesticated will go near where the churches were.

Even in peoples houses, were devout men and women, and even christian witches have altars, the fruit laid upon them rots within seconds of touching the altars. Candles refuse to burn brighter then a smoulder, yet still their wax melts much too fast to be possible.

The pope and church officials are in shambles, some Christians go the victim route and say the collapses were an attack from anti religious hate groups, others say the end is coming, since their saint Michael is angry with them.

Civilians scramble, converting to Christianity to appease whatever did this, others turning away from Christianity, as to not get caught in the crossfires of whatever the fuck is going on. Most think he's angry, some think he's grieving. Who he's grieving, nobody knows for certain.

Hunters know better, they know angels are real, they know something is happening, they know it's probably the Winchesters, but Sam and Dean don't know what to do, other then try and get Adam back to Michael asap.

And eventually they do. Adam is returned, Michael is overjoyed. Overnight, just as fast as the churches fell, they are rebuilt, reborn. they are pristine, perfect, clean and new like the day they were built. No grime or grey, no wear and tear. Flowers grow, birds, dogs, cats, mice, rats and all other sorts of animals flock towards the new churches.

Once more, people are baffled. the uproar is wild, more people convert, now that they have proof. Other religions are scratching their heads about this so hard their metaphorical scalps are bleeding.

Confusion is rampant, there are near riots in the streets, people are losing their minds, governments are trying to get order but are globally failing. nobody knows what to do.

Michael and adam are in like, Turkey, on honeymoon, ignoring everything and everyone.

Adam is having a drink at a terrace in Greece of something, and the waiter asks him if he's heard about the saint Michael churches.

Adam, who heard about all that bc he shares a brain with the archangel in question, the same Archangel who is definitely listening to this conversation bc he's still very much in his head: Whaaat, that's crazyyyyy.

Jack: *brings Adam back*

Jack: "hello-"

Adam: "michael? Where's Michael?"

Jack: "i-"

Adam: "Michael? micHEAL?"

Jack: "he-"

Adam: "MICHAEL!! MICHAELLL!"

Adam: "MICHAEL WHERE ARE YOU 😭!?!?!?

Jack: "that's it" *snaps fingers and Michaels back*

Adam: "MIC- oh! Michael!"

Sorry to Supernatural post in 2025 but can you imagine is Jack did bring Adam back to life only for him to feel a huge void in his chest where for the last 1000 years Michael rested and suddenly it empty. Anyway just thinking about how Adam deserved to be in the show more

our father who aren't in heaven is more than just a win on the midam front (although it's potentially my biggest win in history for that reason) it's also really really REALLY awesome just as an examination of michael alone. it retroactively makes him so much more interesting. way way back before the show forgot how archangels worked lucifer once said to sam that he would never lie to him, but then the show forgot how archangels worked and nuked lucifer's character and, yeah, that was a lie. but around the same time michael was telling dean that he respects his vessels and wouldn't leave them "a drooling mess" after using them. presumably this single line inspired the entire relationship we see between midam in 15x08. so the writers, after more or less completely reneging on several worldbuilding and character elements related to lucifer in season five, actually did the opposite and explicitly KEPT michael's promises as set up by his earlier appearances. it's kind of a baffling and inconsistent writing decision (especially after "singing showtunes and touching himself") but i'm not complaining because it really does elevate michael. his talk of predestination, his respect for god, and his love of lucifer all also make reappearances in 15x08. it was never a manipulation; he was always an honest son and an honest soldier. so so much better than what they did with lucifer (and gabriel)

I think its absolutely hilarious that Dean and Castiel go through inhuman amounts of trauma over the course of a decade plus, and somehow they still arent the human x angel ship on the show that has gone through the most detrimental mind bending shit. Michael and Adam were literally trapped in hell together alone for over 1000 years and they walked out the other side healthier than Dean and Cas could ever possibly be. Iconic really

i actually need michael and adam to come out of the cage unhealthily codependent. theyve spent 1200 years together in isolation sharing a body. their very essences were intertwined. they literally cannot go back to bring separate entities. they share a body. adam goes and works his little job and goes to school. michael is there. the winchesters call them and michael deals with it while adam is there in the backseat. at times theyre more adamandmichael than adam and michael. theyve shared all their memories enough that sometimes its unclear whose are whose. i have full confidence they feel each others pain to some extent. they aren't separate anymore.

adam and michael were in hell for over a thousand years. like fully think about that. that is a long fucking time to be in a single place let alone with another person. like i can hardly imagine being in the same space as one person and that one person only for a week with no breaks from them, let alone a year.

they were literally stuck together for going on decades.

no wonder theyre so different when they finally get out, they probably talked about what they would want to do a million times. they were moving around so much because they talked about where in the world adam would like to see if they got topside. they finally got out and what did they immediately go do? get a burger and fries. what an incredibly human thing to do. imagine the kind influence adam must have had on michael for him to sit there nicely and let adam enjoy something. michael, the character repeatedly stated in canon to be heavens strongest and deadliest weapon, sitting there on a dinner date.

okay can we talk about the way dean shoved that needle into himself like he wasn't just ready but eager to die?? like he had just been waiting for an excuse to do this since cas died? he has been nothing but angry and desperate and he said he doesn't believe in anything anymore. he feels like he's dead inside. he wants these feelings, this grief to end and because he thinks he can't get cas back, he feels like the only way he can shut them off is to die?? am i reaching here or is anyone seeing this too-
