Taking care of Dmitri when he’s sick would include...

↬ He absolutely HATES being sick

↬ A millions of days spend in a cold, cold jail in Russia without being sick one single time, a few weeks under the American sun and he catches a cold

↬ At first, he would try to hide his sickness from you, but it won’t take long for you to notice something’s wrong

↬ You will take things in hand and force him to rest in bed

↬ He would complain at first, but then would be too tired for that

↬ He would hate feeling so vulnerable and weak, especially in front of you, even if you love having the chance to take care of him

↬ He is too afraid to bother you, so he won’t ask for anything

↬ You will prepare soup for him, give him his medications, and extra attention

↬ He would feel so embarrassed at first, but he loves when you are with him, caring about him. He feels so lucky to have you

↬ Dmitri is absolutely terrified about the idea of you getting sick because of him. That’s why he doesn’t want you to stay with him for too long (he would even ask to sleep on the couch, just to let you sleep alone in peace in your bed!)

↬ But obviously, you don’t want to hear anything, and stick with him all the time. At least, he’s happy that you stay close to him. Since he’s living a calm, normal life with you, he fears loneliness and being far from you

↬ You can lay next to him in bed, and just play with his hair, and the tough Russian boy would just close his eyes and pray for this moment to never end

↬ If he’s really, really sick, and got high fever, he may have lots of awful nightmares. Just be there when he wakes up, and he will maybe confess the topic of his nightmare, which is usually about the jail, demogorgons, and you dying in his arms. Be prepared to cuddle him and keep him close to you to comfort him all night
