ROBRON S/L Masterpost

For those of you who have seen people freak out about "Robert Sugden" and "Aaron Dingle" and "Robron", and wonder what Emmerdale is about, I've decided to make a master post with links for those of you who want to watch Aaron and Robert's story from the beginning and get on the fandom's hype train. Mind you, it's gonna take you a while, but it's worth every second.

Emmerdale is a british soap opera that has been running for more than 50 years, since 1972. It's practically impossible to watch every single episode and catch up to current episodes if you have a busy schedule (though not impossible if you have access to ITVX), but for Robron-purposes, you will only need to watch the following playlists that span the years Robert and Aaron were on screen together, played by their current actors.

So, without further ado, if you have a bit of free time and want to enjoy the roller-coaster of emotions that is Robert and Aaron's story, here it is:

Robert's actor left the show in 2019, but Aaron's actor stayed until 2021. He came back briefly in 2022, and then returned permanently in 2023 with an all new personality.

From 2024 onwards, the broadcast company that airs the show started cracking down on yt videos that featured their most recent episodes, so I made a little archive here to share Aaron's latest storyline.

Season’s Greetings! Here we are again for another Robron Secret Santa. This year we’ve had to say goodbye to our beloved Robert, so more than ever we need some festive cheer.

It’s very easy to take part. Just follow these steps.

Step One

Want to take part? Fill in this form by Wednesday December 4th. If you sign up and then change your mind, no worries, just send me a message before this date.

Make sure you spell your tumblr username correctly in the form AND this one is important, let me know if you change your URL. If you don’t I won’t be able to find you and message you.

To take part you must have an active tumblr aka not an empty blog. I’m implimenting this rule this year because in the past empty blogs have a habit of disappearing and then never responding to messages.

Step Two

I’ll send you a message by Monday December 9th with the name of the person you’re making your secret santa gift for!

Make sure you can receive messages on tumblr. You must reply to my message saying you’ve received it. If you don’t I’ll assume you no longer want to take part.

If you’ve signed up and been assigned a person to make a gift for please do it. If for any reason you don’t think you’ll be able to respond to my message between 6-9th December (e.g. no internet access, you’re away then please send me a message telling me this).

Step Three

Work on your gift! Some ideas in case you’re not sure: a fic, a gifset, an edit, something funny, a quiz, a drawing, some meta of an episode you love, a video, a game, a song, a playlist of Robron songs, OTP memes, a poem….anything you fancy as long as it’s Robron related. If you’re struggling to think of ideas I will post a HELP page soon. You will have 12 days to work on your gift so don’t delay.

Step Four

Send me your gift by December 20th so I can post them on December 24th and 25th. All the gifts will be posted on this blog and the gift recipient will be tagged in the post. Details of how exactly to send the ‘gift’ will be posted after all names have been given out.
