If we're quite literal on how metallic Cybertronians are then they have gears CONSTANTLY turning for EVERYTHING. For blinking(???) optics; for moving limbs; for thinking; for literally having their sparks beat even as round as volleyballs as they are or could be

And, like computers and other machinery, constant function and movement of parts, especially if there's more movement than usual like the frame trying to recover from a blow or something, is bound to overheating

That is literally why computers have vents, if not coolant in their systems: so overheating wouldn't happen and cause system failures or damage to parts!

So whenever you're off to write a fanfic, keep in mind that those vents aren't just for whenever the bots are blushing and, therefore, their frames are pretty fucking hot alright;

For one my love for Transformers is long spanning

It started off with me and my sibling watching Robots in Disguise dub episodes what aired on TV in 2017? 18? More or less. The show itself isn't deemed the best one out there today but hey for us it was just cool robots fighting; we enjoyed it

By 2019 I had delved further into ✨the wonders of the internet✨ and started to use Pinterest to see more Transformers fanart. So far before that I used Google search to find stuff related to that 🙏🙏😭 and with Pinterest I learned what fandoms are lmao

By 2022 I wanted to draw Transformers fanart and, aside a couple lopsided doodles of MTMTE Drift in that year, I never started off with it. Felt overwhelmed with the amount of details there were to the installments I was particularly interested in (i.e. mtmte/lost light, tfp etc). I thought I need a specific way to draw to feel more comfortable with drawing mecha

Now in 2025 I have a tablet and a stylus and still feel overwhelmed with the amount of details. Haven't even tried practicing drawing smth like this in these past 3 years LMAO 🙏😭
