I’m really excited about the new Yin Yang print editions. It’s an exciting time in my career, and personal life. This is my first print release of 2017, a year that is already building a lot of creative momentum. The balance, duality, and relationship of these shapes seen in the design make me happy. I’ve teamed up with Mother Drucker print studio here in Berlin to print the Yin Yang Edition.

Hello My Name Is Tavar Zawacki

For the past 20 years I've been better known as the artist 'ABOVE' Some of you may have already heard the rumors? Some of you have not yet, until now. A few days ago on my Instagram page I finally did something that took me over 20+ years to accomplish. PLEASE READ >> This is the first time in my life that I've publicly posted a photo of myself! For those of you unfamiliar with my history, you may find this shocking?!? I started painting graffiti in 1996 with the name 'ABOVE.'  For the past 20 years I've kept my real name + identity unknown. My #1 priority was guarding my anonymity, and keeping my birth name (Tavar Zawacki) secret from the public. During the past two years, I've focused my attention inwards, observing issues that lived deep inside myself. With a lot of brutal honesty, and conviction for growth, I was able to take inventory of what no longer served me in my life. I initiated the process of cutting off the dead weight, and making space for new growth. My self imposed 'shadow of anonymity' was isolating me from the rest of the world. Furthermore, not creating my art works under my birth name, Tavar Zawacki, was not only stifling, but pigeonholed my artworks to the dependency of an arrow symbol. It is with great pleasure, that today I am able to rectify, and bury once and for all, these counter productive characteristics that have blocked my progress for the past 20 years. Today is the day where I start my fearless journey with my creative pursuits. The momentum has been building, and the barriers that once stood in my way, are now able to be broken down. Some of you have noticed these changes in my art during the past 12 months. For those of you reading this now, I thank you for your interest, curiosity, and support of my artworks. I'm starting a new journey and I want to welcome you to join my creative adventures. I'm not concerned as to where the destination of my journey will lead me. I LOVE YOU ~ Valentines Day 2017

Valentines Day 2017. What more do I need to say? During the past four weeks, I've been very active in my Berlin screen print studio printing the I LOVE YOU edition. The design is based off a mural I painted in Worcester, Massachusetts earlier this year. I printed this colorful edition using a traditional CMYK color process. There are ( 4 ) different colorway versions of the I LOVE YOU edition.  *I am offering a complete set ( with matching edition #'s) for those of you who are interested in the collecting the whole set. Bullseye ~ Psychedelic Series

Hello Everyone,

After four months of projects in the United States, I’m finally back home in Berlin. I jumped right into my screen print studio, and have been steadily painting + printing on the new Bullseye edition. The Bullseye edition is the second release in the appropriately titled, Psychedelic Series. As with the previous, Psychedelic Series release, each print is uniquely hand painted. I took a great deal of time and attention personalizing each print.

This edition is available to purchase by newsletter members only. ‘August’  ~ Upcoming print release

August...Maybe...TOTALLY is my favorite month of the year! What’s not to love about August?! Born + raised in California, but having spent the majority of my adult life living in Europe, August to me is almost always spent at the beach, regardless of where I am in the world.

My associations with August are certainly ocean related. Surfing, sunbathing, margaritas, friends, swimming, and just an overall relaxed attitude about anything + everything.  This upcoming print, I feel captures these aforementioned charms of my favorite month.

I’ve recently finished all three colorway versions of this colorful print. I’ve decided again to print a black, and ‘midnight’ version of this design. Each colorway highlights and pulls out different colors from the design.

Paris Urban Art Fair

Hong Kong, Arrow Pulse Craziness.

I just returned from three weeks of projects in Hong Kong. I was invited as one of the international artists for the, Hong Kong Walls Mural Festival.

Hong Kong went a bit crazy with the arrow pulse design. Everyone seemed to enjoy this design so much they wanted more and more. Enjoy the colorful times from around Hong Kong.

New Psychedelic print series

I’m happy to announce a new print series I’ve started titled the Psychedelic Series. I’ve been wildly fascinated by the optical intensity, and simplicity of printing psychedelic patterns. This new series will always have a combination of unique hand stenciling on each print, as well as the psychedelic screen printed pattern.

‘12-Months’ solo exhibition in Zürich @ Soon Gallery.

It’s been a busy start of 2016 year to say the least. I’ve been in my Berlin studio creating a whole new body of work for my upcoming solo exhibition titled, 12-Months, opening at Soon Gallery in Zürich, Switzerland on March 04th.

Incognito Video...Coming Soon.

A few weeks ago I was in Johannesburg, South Africa for the 5th annual City Of Gold Festival. While I was busy painting the mural the film team was busy documenting the whole process. We’re currently in the editing stages of the Incognito video.

I’ve returned from recent outdoor projects in Johannesburg, and Tel Aviv. Upon my return I jumped into my Berlin print studio making the new Ophelia (Legs) edition. After the sold out success of the Ophelia (top), I decided to make an extremely small edition of Ophelia (legs). This is my smallest edition size I've ever released. I wanted these prints to end up on the walls of my newsletter members. This release is only available for purchase to those who are subscribed to the newsletter. Sunny Days in Tel Aviv.

I was recently invited to Tel Aviv for a private commission of an indoor work. I had some spare time to enjoy the sunny days on the beach and this shutter inspired by all the sunshine, and shadows.
