I disagree with this take, actually.
Asmodeus isn't a victim of "having her entire identity reduced to being the embodiment of rape, against her will." She is actively CHOOSING to be this, and you can't blame her "father" (God) for what Asmodeus is doing of her own free will.
Asmodeus was also not born a demon. She's a fallen angel who CHOSE to rebel against God and decided on her own to live for the sake of lust. The Demon Lords have moral agency and can even go against their own sin if they choose to do so. The whole conclusion to Belphegor's arc was him choosing to confront his problems, which is antithetical to what "Sloth" is all about.
The story also points out that Sarah rejected Asmodeus entirely of her own free will. The entire reason Asmodeus wanted to force herself onto Mr. Priest was to validate to herself that Sarah rejecting her wasn't her own fault because it couldn't have worked out regardless. The reason why Imuri comforting Mr. Priest upset Asmodeus so much is that it proves that, no, it WAS her fault that Sarah left her. Asmodeus chose to murder Sarah's husbands despite Sarah herself telling Asmodeus not to, and this ruined Sarah's life. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the idea of "filial duty" but Sarah is her own person who has the right to decide for herself what her life should be. Asmodeus wasn't willing to respect Sarah's own decision, and that was what caused their relationship to fall apart.
Asmodeus has nuance to her character, but she is not a victim by any means.
something about how the church in mtefil is implicated in rape, trafficking, and all other manners of child abuse generally perpetrated by older men and yet the blame for the very existence of sexual assault is placed on a female demon, who, don't get me wrong, is also a rapist, but has had her entire identity reduced to being the embodiment of rape, against her will, and is ultimately repeating a cycle of violence inflicted on her by her father (God) AND the one time she dared to have a true, earnest love, she had to watch that love be repeatedly violated under the laws of arranged marriage that EMPHASIZED FILIAL DUTY ABOVE AUTONOMY. FUUUUUCK

asmodeus was ripped away from sarah because, according to the rules of God, being gay is a greater sin than any manner of sexual assault.

and another thing. when asmodeus does SA priest, what's the first thing he thinks of? the thing that makes him freeze up and prevents him from fighting back?

being beaten by nicholas, of course.

I went back and reread the beginning of Choujin X today after catching up with the latest chapters, and after all this time, I think I finally understand what Azuma's roly poly metaphor from the first chapter means for him.
Azuma's father has drilled into him his entire life that "to shirk justice is cowardice," and it's given the kid a serious hero complex. Azuma Higashi collects newspaper clippings of crimes and runs around town beating up sexual harassers. His choujin form includes a superhero cape. He is the about as obsessed with pursuing "justice" as a character can be.
But the thing about Azuma is that, ultimately, he isn't driven by a desire to do the right thing. He's driven by an absolute terror of doing the wrong thing.
Azuma's father has instilled in him a deep belief that failure is unacceptable. He has to make a choice and make the right one, lest he be unjust and suffer the consequences. So Azuma plays hero, and he does so for fear of the alternative. That doesn't negate the legitimate good he's done! But his pursuit of justice comes from his deeply-instilled avoidance of anything "wrong," rather than any attraction to what's "right."
And that's what Azuma's talking about when he brings up the roly polies in chapter 1. Roly polies seek out damp places, and Azuma suggests that perhaps they do it not because they like the damp, but because it's a reprieve from the intolerable dry. They're instinctively driven to avoid dry places, so anywhere not-dry will do the trick, even if they otherwise dislike it.
Azuma's heroism works the same way. Azuma may not actually like playing hero all the time, but he does it because engaging in heroism is a reprieve from the things his father has made him believe are unacceptable.
At the end of the roly poly conversation, Azuma announces that he'll see if his dad knows a way that he can help with the recent plane crash. Tokio says that sounds noble, and Azuma deflects by saying that no, it's just a "habit." That habit line comes superimposed over a panel of the roly poly getting on the move again, presumably heading off to search for somewhere not-dry.
Azuma's volunteering to help with post-plane-crash recovery and the roly poly's moving away from the dry pavement are driven by the exact same type of instinct. It doesn't matter whether or not they like their destination; they're just inherently repulsed by everything else.

How CSM Part 2 will (probably) end
This is a very unpopular opinion, but I think Part 2 will end with Asa, not Yoru, killing Denji by turning him into a weapon.
Just think about the past couple of arcs from Asa's perspective. She's gone through all this shit and sacrificed pretty much everything in her life in order to "save" Denji. She gave up her normal life, her home, and her college funds for Denji's sake. She watched Yoru kill tons of innocent people right in front of her. And what did she get out of any of it in the end? Nothing.
After the Falling arc, practically all of the intimate moments between Denji and "Asa" have been with Yoru, especially the last few chapters. When Denji finds out about Yoru, his only concern is knowing which one gave him the handjob. He doesn't really show any concern about Yoru saying that Asa's mind is on the verge of breaking. When Yoru forces Asa to kill multiple people this chapter, Denji doesn't say even a single word about how Yoru is impacting Asa right now. For all intents and purposes, he doesn't seem to care about her. Granted, I understand that Denji is not in a good mental state right now so I can't really blame him too much, but think about how all of this looks from Asa's perspective. This guy whom you've sacrificed everything in your life gets to have romantic and intimate moments with the devil that ruined your life without caring about your wellbeing one bit.
I know there's a lot of debate over whether or not Yoru/Asa can turn Denji into a weapon after she failed to do so in 117, but I think she probably can given how so much of the plot revolves around it. I think the reason she failed earlier was because she needs to think she "owns" both Denji and Pochita. Considering that she just oneshotted Pochita, I think she probably could weaponize him at this point.
At this point, I think it's safe to say that Asa's chicken dream represents all the people hurt by her choosing to go down this path, even if she plays an entirely passive role in their suffering. They're like Bucky in that sense. She didn't try to hurt them nor is any of it really her fault but they're still getting hurt by her just trying to live her life, hence the chicken symbolism. She reaches some point of darkness by the end. I think that point of darkness might be her choosing to kill Denji, effectively choosing her own happiness over his.
I completely understand why most people hate this idea, but with the way the story has been going lately I kinda expect it to happen.

Personally I’m a sucker for the whole "like an old married couple" dynamic but I can get why you wouldn’t like it 😅
I already whined about it enough on twitter but since this place is dead and gay I'll put my garbage here
I'm still sad azuma is prob getting paired with ely. I don't like it... and it really isn't just because it means azuma's not gay I swear
ough... ely... I hate the option for both of them. wish azuma could have her as a friend with their funny fighting dynamic. but, no... hate this dynamic for romance too...
I try to not bring this up around anyone who's happy about it but ow. if tokio ends up their third wheel too... what an unpleasant trio dynamic
guess I'm just glad enough there aren't many big fans of it so I don't really see fanart or people gushing over it

Photo

Bro I don’t know who the hell made this picture but I love it. I downloaded this image years ago and today I found it in my cloud but with horrible quality. So I searched it with Google reverse and only found 3 images with poor quality, I downloaded the one that looked the best of the three. After that, I downloaded an application to improve the quality of the photos and it came out like this… I want to know who is the creator of this beauty, if anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate the information.
