NAME: Abe No Sousei (SOUSEI as first name)

AGE:24

PAST: Sousei is a child of the famous line of exorcists, the Abe. However he was seperated from his parents as an infant and was raised alone. Some years later, he was taken by Taiko, a man who taught a squad of members that all were potentional vessels for the biggest calamity that fell on Japan, the Orochi, a giant serpent that appeared every 300 years under a cloudy sky. The squad’s name was Yamainu (mountain dogs).

Even if at first he believed he had just joined because he was a potentional  vessel, later on he became able to share a dream of being a Hero for the sake of the country.

He became friends with some of the members, mostly Tenka and Kiiko. It is shown that he respcected their teacher Taiko alot and surely his death had an important influence on him.

After Tenka’s departure from the Yamainu, Sousei became their leader instead. They are a group that works with only one goal to destroy the Orochi, in case one of their own members is taken over by it, they won’t hesitate to kill each other to avoid the destruction that the Serpent will cause.

INFORMATION; Sousei is an excellent swordsman and specializes in hits that paralyze the opponent on the right spots, his technique is called nasty by Tenka in the manga. He is a man that will do anything for the sake of his country, serious, maybe a bit cold.  He is respected among his fellow companions in Yamainu.

He becomes the sword teacher of Soramaru and they have a good relationship. Tenka’s departure did shake him and he believed that Tenka the one who abandoned the Yamainu for the sake of his family, was a traitor, however he still seemed to care about him.

What Sousei always has in mind is how to serve the country, the ends justify the means if it is about the safety of the country in his eyes, he won’t hesitate to do what he believes is right.

information: Hirari was born in the Abe family 600 years before the events of the current timeline. He had no talent in magic and he was chosen to be a sacrificial bait for the Orochi. As a child, Hirari was told to throw away all of his compassion and show no mercy towards others or himself. His life had no meaning, he trained and trained with the sword just to die.  

One day, he met with the one a woman that treated him with kindness, Botan. He fell in love with her. However their love had obstacles and the biggest one was the Orochi, Botan slipped away from his grasp and his arm was swallowed by the Orochi as he tried to save her. Due to his love and the orochi’s curse, his soul is never let to rest, everytime the orochi appears is set to appear in the world, he is reborn.

On the current timeline, he is a one armed police man who since yoing joined the police force of Keishitai after the Satsuma Rebellion. He seems to know Tenka well and is aware of the goverments movements. Hirari has no memory of his past lives, but the dreams of a woman haunt him in his sleep and he can never remember her clearly.

Personality: Hirari around Botan is showed to be cheerful, optimistic, flirty, impatient and very honest, however he also is cynical as shown in the interactions with the rest of the characters, there is a certain aura of mystery surrounding him as well.
