Other Helpful Tips:

In order to see villagers on mystery islands, you need to have a villager plot already set up on your island for them to move to. Or else they won’t show up on mystery islands. 

 Once you unlock terraforming, you’re able to place sand squares on the grass to plant beach trees (Coconuts and lets hope Bananas) on top! 

 ALL Balloons stop spawning after achieving 300 ‘pops.’ (x)

 To get the most out items of rocks, dig holes behind your player so they have nothing to bounce into and you have time for an extra hit with your shovel, giving a total of eight max items. 

 DIY: Tarantula Island!!

For everyone having trouble moving in amiibo villagers:

Hi everyone, quick tip for those who have amiibo villagers they want to move in from your campsite! No site seems to have covered this, but I figured it out by inviting two villagers in.

You must invite them three times to your camp, over the course of three days, and you must complete all three requests for crafted items before they leave. I recommend having a lot of materials saved up for quick and easy crafting (though by the point in the game that you have the campsite, you should have plenty!)

You must also have a plot of land available, speaking to Tom Nook and asking about infrastructure allows you to set up a plot of land. I recommend setting up a plot of land the third day you’ve invited the villager in, so no random villager snipes your spot. A plot of land is 10,000 bells.

After you talk and ask them to move in the first and second time, they will decline. But by the third time, they will warm up to you and your island, and be quite excited to live with you. They will talk to Resident Services and, if a plot of land is open, they will move in and be there the next day.

I can also confirm that a villager may occasionally be thinking of moving out, and they will have a thought bubble with text showing their indecision over their head. One villager requested to move, and I wanted her to stay, so I can’t exactly tell you the move-out process yet, or what happens to their homes.
