okay so like you probably know I didn't like the third Sonic movie all that much like I generally enjoyed it but that's a different thing.

but I do think Shadow being a feminist (Gabrielle should kill them both) vs Gerald being sexist (a woman in the military) it's a really smart parallel. Bc it shows how they view maria. Shadow sees her as a person / friend / family. While Gerald sees her as his granddaughter yes but a sort of unpersoned (innocent incapable of flaws) version of his granddaughter. We see this was how he treats ivo as well. (your no maria). Gerald clings to ideal of Maria instead of the real family he has alive.
