I hope one day blood stops running from the saddest parts of us.

Lust and love confuses me so much. You're lying there next to them, staring and getting lost in their eyes, and in that one second, you think how much you want to grow old with them, to live a warm cozy life and grow beautifully like flowers together, happy and whole.
And then the other part of you wishes they would pin you down and press themselves against you.

And I lie in the soft grass, blood running from my wounds, and flowers growing around me. Then I realise things will be okay.

We are talking about this song because goddammit not enough people do, how is she managed to capture the sheer unfiltered essence of what it feels like to YEARN. You can't tell me that anyone who does any form of art or expression doesn't relate to this somehow, we craft and shape these things as reflections of those around us, but once, just once wouldn't it be sensational to know how it feels to be a muse.
AND SHE SOMEHOW GOT ALL THE 9 MUSES FLAWLESSLY INTO THE LYRICS TOO LIKE GIRL-

I think the reason I like Treehouse so much is because of how simple it is but also how it manages to speak to every introvert or nervous wreck who has that one friend or partner that life just makes sense with.
Like you're still scared of the world and want to hide away from it all in your safe space, but that person has become a part of it now, everyone who grew up afraid or anxious has that someone I think, and this song just hits that feeling.
'Why can't everyone just go away? Except you... you can stay' 💚❤️💜

Being a romantic in 2025 sucks, like the Fym it's 'weird' if I write them poetry about a moment we shared together, or if I see them in every passing wildflower and moonlit night, I refuse to believe there is such a thing as average love. For them, I would burn my feet on a thousand hot coles, I would fight for their honour even when I'm so obviously outmatched, I would die for them and live for them.
I will never love with half my heart. You get it all. It's yours to take and break.

My greatest pain in life is that I only get to do it once. I don't get to experience everything, I can't be a man and a woman, I can't be a mother and a father, I can't be a teacher, actor, writer, poet. I can't be a brother and a sister. I can't be an artist and the muse, I can't be a lover and alone. I'll never get to experience it all, and it hurts me.

the thing about the mountain goats is that, on paper, it's the whiniest-sounding catholic in america playing Just An E Chord saying shit like "i smoked a pack of spirits in florida / i thought about the book of galatians / why were you so mean to me last october" but then you listen to it and you're like what the fuck...... why WERE you so mean to me last october. and then you need like 3-5 business days to recover
