DRABBLE NUMBER ONE.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Braudrey
Prompt? Nope, it’s completely AU though.
Old or New? Old.
“I want Audrey as my partner.”
She stared into the teacher’s eyes pleading with him not to let them work together, but it seemed the teacher was on Brayden’s side. She inwardly groaned and let her head fall onto her arms. She didn't want to be anywhere near Brayden especially after last night. She had finally reached her breaking point and had told him everything. She suspected that he had told all of his friends and followers the truth behind the whole event because she had yet to be harassed. Some even offered her a smile or two whenever they passed each other. She rolled her eyes. A couple of smiles were not going to make her forget what they had said and done to her.

Sleep: My character needs to stay at your character’s house for the night, or vise versa. Specify. (you can add any other special things that could happen!)
Brayden reluctantly answered the door. He had no desire to speak to anyone. He was dead tired; not only was he taking care of his son alone, but the mother -his girlfriend- was back at school and didn’t remember a single thing that had happened to her before she left. Turns out, she didn’t remember ever dating him and bearing his child.
The person knocked again successfully jolting Brayden from his thoughts. He sighed wearily and opened the door to reveal the person that had been completely taking over his thoughts. “Drey?”
She looked at him funny before placing a smile on her face. “You’re…Brayden, right? Supposedly we were friends or whatever in another life?” He didn’t know whether or not she was joking, but a part of him knew that she wasn’t. “Anyways, my car broke down and I was wondering if I could use your phone or…"
"You can stay the night.” He stated. “I have plenty of empty rooms.”
This time, her smile was more genuine and bright. “Thanks!” She stepped passed him and stood there awkwardly looking around his parlor. He gestured for her to hand him her coat and suggested that she wait in the living room. She carefully side stepped all of the toys littering the floor.
He came back a little while later to see her staring at the pictures littering the wall. She was focused on one of his favorite pictures. Someone had managed to take a perfectly amazing shot of the two of them on stage while he was singing her one of his songs. He had one of his arms wrapped protectively around her waist while the other held his mike. She had one of her arms wrapped his waist and the other was up in the air fixing his hair. It was the look on their faces that he loved about it the most. He knew Audrey wasn’t one for sharing her feelings, but in the picture, she bared all. The look in her eyes and the way she was gazing at him more than assured him that the girl in his arms was his.
“That’s my favorite.”
She turned startled, but laughed at her reaction. “We weren’t just friends, were we?” She stated since she already knew the answer. "I must really love you to look at you like that.“
"Yeah,” He trailed off quietly.
“How long?” She questioned, sitting down on the couch. She patted the space next to her and he immediately accepted the invitation.
“A year and six months.” Audrey’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Wow, that’s l-” Her words were cut off by the sound of another person’s voice.
“Daddy! Daddy!"
"I’m in here, Aiden."
Audrey peered curiously behind him as the little boy entered the room. He shyly peeked from behind the chair as Audrey waved at him. "Well, aren’t you handsome? I think you got your looks from your father.” She stated smiling. Aiden smiled in reply. “But daddy always told me that I get my looks from you."
"Oh really?” She asked with a laugh. She turned to Brayden, with a teasing glint in her eyes. “You think I’m pretty?”
“Gorgeous.” He said seriously.
“I love you.” She blurted out before slapping her hands over her mouth. She shook her head. “I’m sorry! I just got the strongest urge to…to… tell you that and do other things."
Brayden chuckled. "Well, we can save the rest for later, but you can tell me that you love me again.”

♥: Our characters will have a Mistletoe Kiss
“Mistletoe! Mistletoe! C'mon and get your Mistletoe kiss!” Audrey falsely cheered along with the other cheerleaders. Who the fuck had this smart idea? She had already kissed a few guys and that was enough for her. The other girls were loving the attention, but Audrey just wanted to crawl in a hole.
“Can I get one?” Audrey’s grimace immediately fell from her face when she saw who had approached her.
“Sure.” She said uncertainly. She accepted his dollar and placed it into the jar.
The boy leaned forward and placed his lips gently onto hers before he leaned slightly backwards, leaving a small space between the two of the them. She nodded and he dove back in, but this time with more force. Pretty soon, the noise died down and she could feel him and the electrifying feeling that flowed through her body.
“I’m next!”
“I’m next!”
He grabbed her hand and pulled her from the booth. “Sorry, boys, but she’s off duty."

“I just wanted to make you feel jealous.” He admitted quietly.
“I don’t do jealous.” I replied, not looking at him. I didn’t want him to see how much of a lie that was. I mean, I constantly told myself that if a guy I liked showed attention to someone else, I’d give up, but I couldn’t bring myself to….at least not with Kol.
“We both know that’s not true.” He retorted, moving closer to me. I tensed up when I felt him get a little too close for comfort.
"Oh, really? And how do we both know that?“ I asked. I finally looked up to see him watching me intently. The look in his eyes was so vulnerable that I quickly averted my gaze. His siblings’ words began filling up my head. Klaus said not to lie to his brother, Rebekah said that I shouldn’t hurt him, and Elijah hadn’t said a word because he knew and for that I was thankful. His brother had hurt me too. The person he had used to make me jealous had been Natasha, another person that I had already been involved in a love triangle with.
"You hate me."
I sighed. "I don’t hate you, Kol."
"Then why won’t you look at me?"
I shrugged my shoulders and continued to stare elsewhere. All of a sudden, I heard a growl that made me jump and when he suddenly appeared in front of me all of a sudden, I did. His eyes were dark and he looked angry. "Don’t lie to me.”
“I’m not ly-”
“Audrey, darling.” He interrupted, sarcastically.
“Yes, love?” I retorted, just as sarcastic if not even more.
His eyes slowly returned to normal after I said that and I knew it was because I had called him love. “Why did you want to make me jealous, Kol?” I questioned. “I’m already yours."
"Mine.” He affirmed softly.
I nodded. “Yours."
He brushed his lips against mine, but I pulled him closer to me by grabbing the foot of his jacket. He kissed me more fiercely and I returned the kiss. We were interrupted by a voice, but Kol ignored it. "Can’t you see we’re busy, mate? Come back later. Much, much later."

– Excerpt: Two Months –
Audrey’s eyes widened and she just stared at Blake as he spilled her secret. He probably thought he was doing something nice, but he wasn’t. Audrey could feel herself slightly panicking and she knew that he probably noticed since he had begun to trail off quietly. “Audrey?” Audrey looked at him with a blank stare before she turned and left the room. Oh My God…. Oh My God… Oh My God…. She felt like crying. She felt like… She wasn’t even sure what she felt like. All she knew was that she wanted to get out of here and never come back. She needed space from everyone. She knew she wasn’t ready to come back. She vaguely heard someone calling her name, but she didn’t want to speak to anyone.
“Brayden, let’s not do this right now."
"Audrey..I just.”
“Don’t. I’m this close to having a complete break down so please let me go."
"Drey…just let me…”
Audrey knew that she’d have to take the meaner approach unless she was willing to do this in front of everyone. She could already see them headed towards this way.
“Forget it, Westerly. There’s nothing you have to say to me and there’s nothing I have to say to you…to any of you."
"So, we can’t?”
“What’s done is done. I’m over it.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m not.”
“Just let me be there for you.”
“Like I said, I’m already over it.”
“Drey..”
“Where were you when I needed you? Oh, that’s right. You were fucking Brooke. Yeah, who’s the cheater now, bitch.“ Audrey’s eyes shifted towards Brooke for the last part before she shook her head and headed towards her original destination.

Chapter One: Two Months ( Brayden's POV )
He couldn’t believe that she was back. When she had walked past him on her way to her seat, he had immediately looked up. He didn’t realize that he was full on staring until he found himself looking into her blue eyes. Her eyes softened before she turned back around. She was so different yet she seemed so familiar. He wasn’t going to allow himself to care for her again not after what she did. She had cheated on him with that scumbag, but yet his friends decided to still keep that guy around. What was worse was that he had done the same thing with the girl that was currently sitting next to him. He had had sex with Brooke and Audrey still didn’t know. He sighed and tried to focus on what Mr. Ganner was talking about, but he was distracted by his thoughts of her and the fact that someone kept nudging him. He turned and noticed that all of his friends were looking at him, some with weird looks on their faces except for one, that was all knowing.
“Was that?” He nodded curtly not wanting to talk about it. He clapped along with the rest of the crowd, but he was relieved that he was going to get to leave. As everyone headed towards the hall, Samantha stopped him. “You still have feelings for her?” Brayden gave her a look, but knew that she could see right through him. “Yes.” Samantha shook her head. “I love the two of you individually, but there’s something you don’t know about what really happened that night and there’s something you’re keeping from her. It’s the reason I’m on your side and the main reason I’m not on Brooke’s. I saw the look she gave you, Bray. She still has feelings for you too, but she won’t own up to it. I know her. You know her.”
Brayden ran his fingers through his hair. “You don’t think I know that? Besides we’re done as far as I know. Us dating was just a stupid mistake.” And with that last statement, he headed out the door. He noticed them by the wall waiting for him and Sammie. “You guys wanna skip? I don’t want to be here right now.” Brooke stated, sighing. Everyone nodded their heads, but turned when they heard laughter. They only stared as Audrey looked at each of them and raised an eyebrow before she left the school. Samantha shook her head before she headed out the door behind them. Before she entirely left, she turned and faced him. “You can’t honestly believe that."

Chapter One: Two Months ( Audrey's POV )
It’s been two months since she’s last seen them. Two months since she joined her dad’s company and became an assassin. Two whole months since the rape. She didn’t even think that she was ready to go back, but her dad was forcing her to return anyways regardless of what she said. She sighed and pulled into her usual parking space, surprised that it was still empty. She contemplated ditching, but gathered up her courage and entered the building. She noticed the stares. She noticed the multiple double takes and she certainly heard the comments. And you know what? She didn’t care. In a way, she supposed that she could justify their stares. Her long hair was now even longer and curly and her normally gentle blue eyes were now darker and cold.
Wandering around for a little bit, she began to wonder where her dad and the rest of the assassins were supposed to meet up. She noticed multiple crowds of students entering the auditorium and decided that it would be the best place to start. Opening the doors, she casually walked straight down the middle aisle until she reached the seats in front of the stage where she took a seat next to another assassin, Kirsten. She briefly made eye contact with her father before he regained focus on the crowd. “Where have you been?” Kirsten asked her. Kirsten and Audrey never got along seeing as Audrey was a threat to her position on the team, but they had managed to become civil towards one another. “Hiding” she replied simply. Since she was an Empath, she could sense Kirsten’s confusion, but didn’t bother explaining what she had meant.
As her father went on and on with his speech, she began to shift uncomfortably in her seat due to that fact that someone was outright staring at her. She turned her head and made direct eye contact with Brayden. His face was showing no expression, but she knew him well enough to see the look in his eyes that he was trying to hide. She looked down before she turned towards the front, hoping that the pain in her heart would disappear. As her father finished talking and everyone started leaving and clapping, she grabbed Kirsten’s hand and continued heading to the stage to speak with her father. Interrupting him, she tapped him on the shoulder. “Why am I back here?” He only gave her a look before giving Kirsten instructions to watch her closely. She did not need a babysitter.
“Audrey? Audrey!”
She quickly turned to see Cordy rushing towards her. She smiled brightly and jumped off the stage enveloping the redhead in a hug once she reached her.
“Cordy! I missed you!”
“Well, if it isn’t Christine.”
She smiled, but playfully glared at him. “I thought I told you not to call me that, Lawson.” He shrugged his shoulders and flicked her bangs. “What’s this?” He asked referring to her new hairstyle.
“Audrey? I’ll see you at home.” She nodded as her father walked past her with the rest of his crew. She noticed that Kirsten was still standing near the stage and beckoned her over.
“You’re just in time for school to start.” Cordy added. Audrey shook her head in a childish manner.
“Nah, I’m skipping. I want Starbucks and Lawson’s buying.” He ruffled her hair as they all laughed. “Friends, this is Kirsten. Kirsten, this is Cordy and Blake.” After introductions, they headed for the front entrance and again Audrey made eye contact with Brayden, but she noticed the rest of her old friends surrounding him. She raised an eyebrow at them before she turned and followed her friends out the door.

Samantha’s breath hitched as Audrey walked out of her bathroom wearing nothing, but a towel. She couldn’t help herself as she openly stared at the tall blonde. As her eyes, raked up and down the dancer’s body, she licked her lips. The white towel was leaving nothing to her imagination. She telekinetically locked the dorm room’s door and as she watched Audrey head over to her closet, she quickly slammed the door shut before the girl could get a chance to change. She noticed Audrey look around in confusion before turning around to face the brunette. While Audrey was momentarily distracted, she took this time to walk behind her. As she turned around to face her, she took a step back due to the close proximity between the two girls. As Sam moved forward, Audrey moved back. There was only so much she could go before she would hit the wall. “ Sam….what are you doing,” she whispered. Samantha gently put her hands on the taller blonde’s waist before leaning forward. “ Kissing you,” she whispered closing the distance. She sighed in content as she was finally getting what she wanted. She let her hands slowly wander up and down the girl’s body, desperately wishing that the towel wasn’t covering her up. Without breaking the kiss, Samantha was suddenly pushed backwards until she finally hit the bed, falling back onto it.

She knew better. After everything that had happened with Blake the previous year, Eliza had known to stay away from him. She couldn’t help it though, seeing as the upperclassman knew how to get under her skin and push her to do things she’d normally refrain from. Bringing feelings into her situation made the whole thing worse when she acknowledged that somewhere along the way, she’d developed deep-rooted feelings for the infuriating Vampire. Eliza was still struggling to block out all the feelings of her classmates, but having her own feelings added in was too much for the Empath.
She’d confided in her closest thing to a friend at the school, Eden Newman, about her problems with Blake, leading to Eliza making the long journey to Blake’s room to talk with him. She didn’t make it very far before she saw one of the other girls attending the school, recognizing her as Lindsay, knock on his room door, Blake opening the door moments earlier. Eliza was left nearly breathless as she watched the two of them exchange a kiss before entering his room. She very nearly didn’t make it out of the dorms before she broke, making her way back to Eden’s dorm room.
Eliza was certain the other girl was already asleep, but there wasn’t anywhere she felt she could go. Knocking on the door quietly, Eliza stood as close as she could to the hard surface before calling out to her friend. “Eden, are you awake?” It was a only a moment later that she heard a muffled noise on the other side of the door and she tried the doorknob, slowly pushing the door open. “I know it’s late. I didn’t have anywhere I felt comfortable going.”
Eden had gotten back into bed after unlocking her door, but after hearing Eliza’s makeshift apologies, she looked over at the other girl, taking note of the tracks of tears that had long since fallen down her cheeks. “Let me guess. Blake.”
Eliza sat down on the floor, leaning against the vacant bed opposite Eden’s before nodding, fresh tears slowly filling her eyes again as she tried to explain what happened, her voice breaking slightly as she finished. “I went to talk to him but he wasn’t alone.”
“As in?”
“He had Lindsay over! I was standing right there watching them kiss! Did he even see me? No!”
Eden was slightly taken back by Eliza’s sudden anger. Sure, the other girl was known to have attitude, and she always struggled to balance her emotions because of her abilities, but this felt different. It was obvious Eliza’s feelings for Blake were strong, but having spent time at the school with her and seeing how she was when Blake was around, Eden suspected Eliza had started to fall for the upperclassman, and she wasn’t in the mood for subtlety when she stated as much. “Eliza, you really need to fucking talk to the guy! Don’t get an attitude with me because you’re afraid to admit you’re in love with him, okay?!”
“Love?!”, Eliza scoffed. “I am not in love with him.”
“You can lie to yourself, Eliza, but you could never lie to me. I know you too well.”
“Well….it doesn’t matter anymore, now does it. He’s already in love with someone else, and what am I compared to her?”

He wasn’t exactly sure why he was here, but he had nowhere else to go. He had recently broken up with Juliette and after thinking about it for awhile, he discovered that he was fine with it. He wasn’t in love with her anymore; he was in love with someone else. He smacked his forehead as his thoughts seemed to travel to just focusing on her: her smile, her voice and her eyes. He wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but those were his favorite things about her.
He sighed. There was no way that she felt the same about him and besides she was caught up in a love triangle herself. It wasn’t surprising to him, it was incredibly easy to fall in love with her, with Audrey. He leaned back and closed his eyes softly humming to himself.
“Jesse?”
He looked up so fast that he swear he heard a crack and smiled once he heard her softly laughing. As she sat down besides him, his heart sped up, but on the outside, he kept his expression under control.
“So, I heard about you and Jules. Are you okay?” she continued after she got settled. He could feel her gaze on him so he turned his head to meet her gaze but did nothing but nod. ”I didn’t think you two were right for each other anyways.”
Raising his eyebrows, he looked at her surprised. What did she mean by that?
“I mean, you two were kind of the same yet different, but I don’t know, it just didn’t seem..right, y’know?”
He was certainly confused to say the least. What was she trying to say?
Gaining some courage, he asked confused,”What do you mean by that?” I wasn’t with the right girl?”
If only she knew how right she was, but he still wouldn’t tell her anything until he got a sign that she felt the same way as him. He looked at her expectantly, but she only smiled in response.
“You tell me” she said winking as she got up. “I’ll see you around.”
Did she?
Does she?
He thinks he just got his sign.

Was this really happening?
He wasn’t too sure to be honest. Audrey was currently laying on his shoulder while they watched the other kids in Glee Club perform. Did she even know what she was doing to him? It had been a month since he had broken up with Alexis and he could tell that she was growing closer to Blake Lawson, but he had already seen that coming. He could see the confused looks the others were sending their way, but if she noticed, she didn’t show it so he didn’t either.
He wanted to ask, but didn’t know how to begin. So, he waited until the last song was sung and the others began to head out of the Choir Room, all looking back. Pretty soon, it was just the two of them together and he was suddenly nervous. She cleared her throat, but he still didn’t look at her.
“Is something wrong?”
Ignoring her question, he asked his own. “What’s going on, Audrey? I mean, what are you doing to me er with me?”
Audrey raised an eyebrow before walking to stand in front of him.“You’re going to have to elaborate on that, Jesse. You won’t even look at me….”
He sighed, she was doing that thing again. She wouldn’t answer until he answered and he wasn’t sure he even wanted to. Sighing again, he grabbed her hand.
“I like you, Audrey.” he started, mumbling. “No. I more than like you, I’m in love with you.” Still holding her hand, he looked down at her. She still hadn’t said anything. “Say something…Please.”
“That’s why you’ve been acting weird? Since that day in the library.” she replied.
He was suddenly disappointed. That’s not what he wanted to hear, he wanted her to say those words back to him. He wanted to be able to hold her close without people whispering and giving them those stupid, weird looks because they both knew that she wouldn’t go for someone like him.
“Forget I said anything.” He reluctantly dropped her hand and walked out of the Choir Room, hoping that she wouldn’t just watch him go.

He tried not to smile as she walked up to him. It had been a couple of days since he had finally told her how he felt and she had just let him walk away without a word. After that incident, he had taken to ignoring or avoiding her at all costs no matter what and now here she finally was and it was only…forever.
“I love you too.” she said simply. “And I’m sorry it took me so long to realize that, but I just needed to think, but I know now. I’m absolutely sure.“ She smiled at him as she finished telling him what he had always wanted to hear. He grabbed her hand, this time pulling her close. Using one hand to wrap around her waist, he leaned down and kissed her, finally happy. Leaning back, he shut his locker before the two of them walked hand in hand down the hallway.

“Listen, Jules. We all want someone we can’t have. I just can’t tell with you. You want me or wanted, but then you’re so in love with Blake. You know who I truly want? Her.” he stated.
They were currently at Juliette’s house party and he had been explaining to her different types of drunks and they somehow got on the topic of relationships. He wasn’t sure why he was telling her all of this but he continued on anyways.
“Why don’t you just tell her?” she replied.
Jesse laughed. “Tell her?! Me and her, it’ll never work. Besides, it’s no secret she hates me. I’m a jerk.”
Juliette smiled softly at him. “No, you’re not. Here, I’ll make you a deal, I’ll ask Audrey what she thinks if you agree to tell her that you’re in love with her.”
Jesse turned towards her shocked. “Who said anything about love?”
“Your eyes did.”

“Audrey! Audrey! Could you stop? Audrey!” She yelled out. She was practically screaming and she felt everyone’s eyes on her, but of course she didn’t mind. Once Audrey stopped, she immediately ran to catch up. “Finally! Look, can I talk to you about Jesse?”
“Why?”
She hurriedly thought about something to say instead of blurting out his secret. She didn’t know why she agreed to this, but I guess she wanted Jesse to end up happy and she knew that without Audrey’s confirmation that he wouldn’t admit it.
“He loves you.” she stated and immediately groaned, but it was enough to stop Audrey from leaving again.
She turned around and looked down, with a frown. “Why? H-he…oh my…When?” she stuttered out.
“You’ll have to ask him that.“ She smiled brightly at Audrey and grabbed her hand. “I suggest doing it soon like before the big away game.”
