The Official Ranking Of Every Letter In the Alphabet -
(I'm the world's reigning authority on this matter, so there is simply no way I can be wrong.)
V - Stunning. Gorgeous. Beautiful. Elegant. 10/10 every time.
I - Kind of just perfect.
S - Obsessed with the way she sounds. And by far the most fun to look at/write down.
Q - She’s cool, but impractical. Still the main character in every word she’s in though.
L - Just very fun to say. I love how clean it looks on paper too.
C - Not a fan of the hard C sound or the CH pairing, but MY GOLLY GOSH a soft C itches my brain in just the right way.
K - Slightly lesser but more interesting version of the letter C.*
D - By itself, nothing special. But the -ED ending goes so hard EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
R - Yes.
N - Better version of M, if that makes sense.
T - I like the way it sounds. Also very fun to aggressively enunciate.
E - Overused and silent half the time, but I love her <3
P - No comment.
O - Meh. The OO combination makes me happy when it pops up in words, but other than that I’m not a fan.
Y - She’s alright.
A - Pisses me off tbh. Only this high up because it's my first initial and I can always find a souvenir with an A on it.
B - Bad vibes. Very very bad vibes.
G - Not horrible by itself, but I’m stupid and always get it mixed up with J, so I’m holding a grudge. I have to give it some credit though for being a part of the -ING ending.
M- Unsettles me
W - I really just do not like it.
H - Only good when paired with S or C, and even then it’s just mid.**
J - Deeply upsetting in a way I cannot even begin to describe.
F - 🤮🤮🤮
U - Disgusting, actually.
Z - Negative 1,000,000,000 points. There’s a reason it’s at the very end of the alphabet.
X - Immediately no.
*C and K are in a situationship btw. They're both toxic, but they're also just so similar. Two sides of the same coin. No matter what, they always somehow come back to each other. 'Style' is literally their song.
**C, H, and S are in a love triangle (S and H are endgame because they're both tired of dealing with C always running back to K even though she knows it's never going to end well. Eventually they cut her off and now they never talk. This is especially hard on S because her and C were childhood best friends).
***The vowels are all siblings. O and U are fraternal twins. A is the oldest and I is the youngest. E is the middle child.
#I could literally be solving world hunger right now#and instead i'm here shipping letters with each other and giving them personal drama#shit post#idk what to tag this as#ranking

I really love how much TSC focuses on Tetsuji as the source of all the Ravens’ cruelty and self destruction. Riko was a psychopath, but that tendency towards violence and narcissism was fostered and encouraged by the man meant to care for him and then EVEN FURTHER enforced by his fucking insane control and abuse of his exy players.
He took these players barely out of childhood and decided to turn them into weapons and symbols of his own pride rather than treat them like human beings. How many of those kids entered the school just as eager and wholesome as our Trojans? How many of them had to completely abandon everything they once were to survive?

I will take no excuses or arguements on this, sirius was not wrong for leaving that household. And james would never in any circumstance take anyone elses side (e.g regulus) on this. I do not care.

My brain rn if you even care -
So much going on up here... and yet so little.
As predicted, these books have grown like a tumor on my brain and now I can't stop thinking about them.
Shadowhunters is far out in the distance because no matter what, it'll always be in the back of my mind :)
*none of the art in this is mine obviously; I found it all on pinterest

opinions on aftg so far 🎤
Just want to preface this by saying sorry that this answer is so long. I was wanting to make a post about my opinions anyway, so I figured I’d use your ask to do it :)
*SPOILER WARNING FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS*
Firstly, I can already sense these books becoming my entire personality for the next few months (i’m going to be really annoying when I finish the whole series). The obsession is in full swing right now and I’m literally not even halfway done.
The plot itself is 10/10. I was a little worried I’d be bored because I hate sports and, well, the whole book is centered around a sport. But since the mafia has been thrown in there, I’m invested. Add in Neil’s family lore, plus Andrew’s whole thing, plus all the other stuff, and I’ve been inhaling these books like the spines are lined with crack. I actually cannot stop reading. I’m starting to get that insane feeling that comes with being so into a book it starts to consume your every thought.
I love Neil - every single sentence that comes out of this man’s mouth is iconic, especially when he’s talking to Riko (whom I hate with a passion btw). Really loving the way he has almost no filter when someone pisses him off. His POV is absolutely unhinged though. One minute we’ll be talking about something mundane, the next he’s casually dropping more details about how his mother died (that part in particular stuck with me because I was just like…oh🧍…wtf 🙂) My honest reaction to that information/every other thought Neil has:

I do like Andrew. I find him very interesting since it’s obvious there’s more going on with him beneath the surface. BUT - and this is a very big but - I did spoil myself for his entire backstory pretty early on, so that definitely has swayed my opinion on him to be more positive. He’s kind of frustrating sometimes; gives me second hand embarrassment, though I guess that’s technically not his fault because of the meds - which I’m really interested to see how he acts now that he’s off them in TKM.
Kevin is also starting to grow on me, except I forget he’s there half the time because he barely talks except for during practice or a game. He’s not my favorite, but I am intrigued😏
I ship Aaron and Katelyn so hard. Their chemistry is surprisingly strong considering they’ve only had like 2 pages of screentime. That little scene when they get back from Columbia after Thanksgiving and they hug in the hallway is really sweet. And I understand now why people ship Kevin/Neil/Andrew (all three with each other or just Andrew/Neil, Neil/Kevin, etc etc).
The ending of TRK had me sobbing for some reason. My brain was literally lagging trying to catch up with what was happening. One minute Neil is being beat with a cane and then he’s handcuffed to the bed with a fucking knife in his mouth (I think that’s what was going on?? again I was still trying to comprehend) and the next he’s at the airport and Wymack came to get him and he’s having a sort of mental breakdown in the bathroom and he’s in pain and his hair is also different now too???!?!?? Anyway, I was in tears. Had to take a moment to stare at a wall and process before I cracked open the next book.
In short, I’m very disappointed in myself for not reading these books sooner. There's probably more things I wanted to say, but I forget what they were. I’m going to make a final post once I finish all the books, so hopefully I’ll remember by then.
Thank you for asking! It’s actually so fun that we’re reading these at the same time. I like having someone who’s also experiencing these books for the first time to share my thoughts with <3

i think we should extend a little more grace to people who were indoctrinated who have realized their way of thinking is wrong/harmful/problematic and are now doing the work to unlearn large portions of their belief system

I’m actually shocked that Arkansas is second best, but I agree. Ohio and Idaho upset me deeply every time I hear them; they're the worst overall IMO. Iowa kind of rolls of the tongue, so I like it best out of the three. Indiana is so forgettable that I don't even remember it's a state most of the time. Kentucky is considerably worse than Connecticut name wise. The sound and also the way it looks written out bother me; Connecticut has a nice flow to it. And Hawaii is the best overall; it’s just so pretty and the spelling is so satisfying :)
ranking the names of the united states because i have nothing better to do
(purely based on vibes and phonetics and whatnot. i actually don't know much about the states individually)
(please don't be offended)
from worst to best:
iowa <- why is it all vowels
nebraska <- these consonants are not working together
missouri <- why is that a word
wyoming <- like a verb and a sound effect at the same time
louisiana <- too long. too many vowels
pennsylvania <- louisiana with extra steps
connecticut <- bad combination of sounds
massachusetts <- bad combination of sounds pt. 2
michigan <- bad combination of sounds pt. 3
washington <- what are you washing
rhode island <- i'm gonna be honest i didn't even know that was a state
idaho <- is it close to utah? sounds like it should be close to utah
utah <- looks bad and sounds bad
maine <- basic
wisconsin <- it's confused
ohio <- at least it's better than iowa and idaho
south carolina <- not a fan of carolina
north carolina <- not a fan of carolina
new hampshire <- sounds like some town from the lord of the rings
illinois <- so many straight lines in one word
alabama <- other states have made better use of the letter a
virginia <- she's toxic
west virginia <- she's fun but toxic
south dakota <- the word "south" is worse than "north" so it's automatically disadvantaged
north dakota <- at least it's not carolina
minnesota <- not a nice sound
montana <- minnesota after getting a makeover
georgia <- good enough i guess
indiana <- good enough
florida <- it's meh
nevada <- bullied vermont. also sounds like fast fashion company name
vermont <- florida's estranged sister
maryland <- tastes like mayo
delaware <- like an off brand tupperware
oregon <- sounds like a shape name. pentagon, hexagon, oregon
colorado <- sounds like a mayo brand
mississippi <- she's cute
new jersey <- why would you name your state after a jersey
new york <- it works
new mexico <- nice rhythm
kansas <- she's jealous of arkansas for being cooler
kentucky <- @/connecticut THAT is how you do the k and t sounds in one word
arizona <- reminds me of mint flavored sparkling water
hawaii <- it's cute
california <- pretty cute
alaska <- love the repetition of the a
tennessee <- 10/10 no notes
texas <- satisfying to say
arkansas <- she's elegant
oklahoma <- she's the queen. she's the moment. i made the list for her
opinions on my rankings?
