š§ My VEO 3 AI Video Creation Process: From Grok AI to Glitches
Checked my stats this morning and was happy to see my second double-downed Google VEO AI video is getting popular. Both of my successful VEO videos share the same line: "You think I am AI, is it?"
Decided to lean into it.
I asked Grok AI for a few humorous ideas along the same theme and picked my favorite. I then had Grok transform the idea into a detailed AI video prompt, but it was too long for VEO's 8-second limit.
Here's my practical workflow:
- Manual Edit: I shortened the prompt storyline manually, and taking out specific camera instructions to let VEO decide on the best angles based on the story.
- Test to Save Credits: Before plugging it into VEO, I tested the visual part of the prompt on Gemini's AI image generator. This helps me iterate and refine the concept without wasting expensive AI video credits.
- Brand Sneak: As usual, I snuck my brand name in. It's a bit obvious this time, but I don't mind.
The final video came out almost exactly as scripted, but with a few hilarious glitches. The side character tosses ice cream, and it falls right back into their hand. The mermaid body flips in a way that's totally unrealistic. And the seagulls, which were supposed to be screaming, are completely silent.
It kind of makes the line, "You think I am AI, is it?" even funnier.
What do you think? It's a good reminder that even with detailed prompts, AI still has its own creative quirks.

"Imagine a Beach Mermaid Metamorphosis:
Setting: A vibrant, crowded beach at sunset with crashing waves, colorful umbrellas, and screaming seagulls.
Action: A sunbather lounging on a towel suddenly arches their back as their legs fuse into a shimmering, rainbow-scaled mermaid tail. Nearby swimmers scatter, gasping, as a lifeguard blows their whistle and shouts, āNo one just becomes a mermaid!ā The mermaid flips their tail dramatically, splashing water, and grins cheekily.
Dialogue: Mermaid says, āYou think I am AI, is it?ā
Visuals: Amplify the sparkling tail transformation and water effects, with the crowdās comedic panic shown through exaggerated running and dropped ice cream cones.

āØ When your learners ace their assessments and then demand advanced CapCut magic!
Just finished Day 3 of my 3-day WSQ Smartphone Videography and Video Editing class. My goal was to wrap up lessons by lunch so we could focus on assessmentsā10 written questions and a video project presentation.
At first, learners were nervous about presenting, but I made sure they felt at ease as the Assessor. All 12 nailed their assessments with flying colors, earning their WSQ Statement of Attainment. Iām so proud of their hard work!
Bonus time was the highlight. Learners asked me to demo advanced tricksācreating 3 clones, becoming a giant stepping into a room, even a giant hand grabbing someone out a door. They loved it!
In the next class, Iāll swap some textbook lessons for fresh, efficient methods from my own experience.
