“My stand about Plagiarism, Piracy, Bias Media, and the like”
Plagiarism, Piracy, Bias Media are some of the top issues that we encounter whenever we use any kind of social media platforms.
Plagiarism is said to be stealing people’s words and ideas then making it your own.
Piracy can be considered as cybercrime. It is the action of duplicating and stealing of media content without the permission of the rightful owner.
Bias Media happens when a journalists or a specific TV network/radio station make accusations/ writing articles about someone without legal basis or solid evidences.
And if even if we look at every angle, stealing, duplicating, and biasing will always be on the wrong side. It is like stealing an intellectual property and hard work of someone. So if we were to use any content that it isn’t our own we should ALWAYS give proper credits and references link.
Thus, with bias media, we should look o the bigger picture and make judgments IF ONLY we know the whole story. We cannot decide what’s wrong or right if we know only the little and basic part of the whole content. We should not be biased and we should not close our eyes with the truth.

Social media plays a big part in every teenager’s life nowadays. It can do so many things such as making us updated on the happenings not just in our country but in other places as well. It can connect us to the people we love or to the people we barely know. It helps us to ease our boredom and widens our horizons about every matter in our life.
But having these social networking accounts can also give us horrible consequences if not well used. So as you read my blog, I will give you some tips on how to be socially responsible in your social accounts. 1.) Read policies and instructions- by knowing the policies and instructions of certain social media sites, you can avoid crashing or breaking the rules for each account. 2.) Use your original photo- by using your original photo, it can avoid misunderstandings and stolen identities. 3.) Be responsible- be aware of what you post, share, or comment on online. it is a universal platform and everything is public. 4.) Limit your posts- there is no such thing as "famous" for whoever gets the most likes amongst your friends. think about your safety first rather than thinking about having so many likes. 5.) Be careful- your safety matters the most, just share what you need to share and avoid giving too man information to strangers you barely know.
Well, that's it for me on how to be responsible in our own social networking site. Don't forget to spread love and positivity! xoxo.

My Favorite Gadget

I once asked myself if what could be my life without a gadget and which one amongst my gadgets is my favorite and can benefit me the most.
To start off, my favorite gadget is my cellular phone. It is small and very convenient, I can just bring it anywhere and anytime with me. It has camera that can capture every important happenings and memories in my life, it can download a lot of apps, it has calls and contacts for messaging. Basically, everything that we need to make our life easier can be found in a cellular phone. It saves a lot of my time, I don’t have to go out and fall in line to pay for our internet and other necessity bills. It makes my communication with my family easier. It connects me to the world by giving me recent news and updates by just searching in google-news section. It is also my source of entertainment when I feel down and lonely.
I really can’t imagine a day without holding my phone, worse a life without a phone. My whole existence will probably be dull and boring. My everyday life would probably circle around me writing all day in my notebook. My communication with my friends and family would have been difficult.
And yes, my phone, my life.

I got this picture from my magazine issued by the AdZU when I was in Grade11 ABM. The pictures promote the Five Cafes that is known in the City of Zamboanga. It tells the readers, the reviews and how magnificent and comfortable these cafes are when you’re planning to study or have a meeting with your colleagues. It also boosts the popularity of the cafe.

It was midnight and I was talking to Jaime, a guy friend from Cebu when he suddenly stopped and went quiet for a little while. Then he suddenly told me to listen to a song entitled By my side by Honne. At first, I was shocked but as i was listening to the song, my heart melted big time.My own interpretation of the song is that, it was about a guy who is grateful and he just wants to show to the world how great his special someone is. She is always present everytime the guy faces a new challenges and downfall. When the guy is feeling down, as stated in the first verse of the song, the girl is present, offering her shoulder to lean on. She gives strength when the guy can’t hold onto life anymore. The chorus delivers a message that whenever the guy is hurting, or whenever the guy needed hope or even just someone who can stay close to his side, the girl never fails to be with him.The second verse delivers a message that whenever the guy needed someone to pick him up when he is at his lowest, the girl is already offering her hand without a doubt. The girl serves a sthe light and spark in the guy’s darkest moments in life. She encourages the guy to carry on and live. The message of the song is genuine and rare, and if someone made you listen to it, he/she just wanted you to know that he is very thankful that you exist in his world. And I think that’s the sweetest message a guy can give and offer to you.

The visuals of the song Happy by Pharrell Williams affect the lyrics and the totality of the song. As shown in the music video, people from different places, different occupations, different gender or even in different ages dance as they sing the lyrics of its song. The song is also helping the visual to give its message to those who will watch the music video.
The song gets playfully cheerful in its chorus, especially with the line "if you feel like a room without a roof". That essentially means you have no limits: you can jet off and join Pharrell in space if "that's what you wanna do"! And in the music video, it really shows the cheerful side of the people acting in the scene

One afternoon as I was reading a book, my thoughts wander about the technology nowadays. It is evolving and changing rapidly. It’s advancement is always parallel in media. From accessing massive amounts of information on the internet to simply experiencing an enriched personal lifestyle, technology continues to benefit us in day and day out.
There are many ways through which technology has made life easier but being a media user, we must be careful on using it. We must not only take care of our gadgets or devices, we must be aware and be cautious on how we use media and internet at the same time. Let us use media and the internet in the most appropriate and literate manner. By achieving this kind of mindset, we can learn many things, it can also improve our skills that can help our economic and social status.
Let us be wise in every act, movement and decisions that we are going to do not just online but in real life as well. Let us be responsible enough so that we can be able to call ourselves media and information literate.
