Whether or not I ever finish this GODDAMN comic, my ultimate goal with Adventures in Lurning has been realized regardless. It was all a long con to fuck with the Padlock shippers. I deny them anything close to romance between Sketchbook and Tony for a decade, and by the time I have them be legally married and kiss each other on the mouth in a play, they don't even care, because I've already ground them into dust.

take as much time as you need, btw love the cgi bgs, how do you do them?

They are made in Blender. I'm not an advanced CGI artist, so I just learned to do the bare minimum with modeling, and basically just make shapes. I render in Workbench mode with flat colors and outlines on. I render each angle I need into a PNG, put it in the Clip Studio file, add nicer outlines overtop the Blender ones, slap a paper texture on it, and edit as needed. Backgrounds might need more done beyond that. For example, on the Clayhill backgrounds, I draw the hills, trees, and sky because that's easier than modelling an entire forest. I should really learn Grease Pencil one of these days.

I'm sorry if it's a but of a weird question, but what do you think about your headcanons/stories being included in other dhmis media? Such as a fangame or another comic?

All fine by me as long as I get at least a line of credit for additional material (or whatever the extent of the inspiration is).

pls share with us how you have courage to make comics on an almost dead fandom [cries]

Fandoms rarely just shrivel up and die. It's pretty expected for a show that had its last new episode 2-3 years ago to get gradually less fan art and discussion. That doesn't mean people stopped caring about it.

I also just draw what I want to draw, and don't let the popularity of something dictate that. I have at least twenty dedicated fans of AIL, and I really only care about entertaining them.

I really wanted to have AIC #10 ready for today or tomorrow, but uh, yeah that ain't happening. I'm still rendering the backgrounds, I haven't even started doing the character line art.

No, I'm sorry, I don't have a date. The rough draft isn't even done, and I haven't looked at it for like two weeks because I got the flu really bad. Every time I recover from being sick and get back into drawing it I just get sick again. The comic will never get done because the viruses won't stop attacking my weak ass immune system.

I can't remember all the garbage lore I put in there, but I'm going to say yes because much of it was mentioned in previous arcs and posts. And yeah, I still like the idea of Yellow and Speshal One being cousins, just because it illustrates how incompetent Shrignold was. That and all the stuff with Rosalyn, at least, still happened.

I do, but there's giant portions of this comic I don't even want to hint at before it's released, so I don't have a ton to show

can phonogram actually play any instruments? which ones his favorite?

I had the idea that Phonograph is an especially talented musician, piano being his favorite to play, but can probably play multiple instruments like violin and the flute, but meanwhile poor Tori just has tried and failed dozens of times to learn an instrument and has a terrible ear for music.

here's a dumb question for ya: given tc (time child) is gonna be in AIC #10, is the headcanon on him being related to Tony tied into the AIC universe?

While the idea Time Child being the Padlock offspring is extremely funny, no, because it would straight up NOT make sense.

Time Child is much as he was in the show. A random character that appears out of nowhere to offer a Sixth Dimensional adventure, but this time his scene gets extended.

Okay, so I have technically started the next comic. However, progress halted because I got really sick for two weeks, recovered, then not long after, got sick again. I also get winter depression, so that doesn't help. This is also the longest comic to date. So, you know, progress is being made here and there, but it's going to be slow, so bear with me.
