Every time I look at you, I see my greatest blessing. Your kind and grateful heart, the way you speak of your parents and you being the #besthubbyever make my heart melt. Today, I celebrate you not just for being the best mom (who always knows the right things to say or not to say esp when I let my emotions cloud my judgement, whose strength is so admirable that I feel I can be strong too whenever I think of you and whose affection is apparent on the things you do for us) but also YOU AS A PERSON. You are beautiful inside and out. You are kind, selfless, hardworking and always striving to be the best version of yourself. You make what you do look easy even if it's actually not. You showed me that anything is possible as long as you have God in your life - to change, to forgive and to inspire. Thank you, Mama! I can only hope to one day become half the woman you are. 5 Things : Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan

I love this book. I think I never not loved a John Green book. It’s the first time I got to read David Levithan and looking forward to read more of his works. I can’t quite organize my thoughts so I’m just gonna write about 5 things that came to my mind. How convenient. 😋

1. Funny, raw, real. I got inspired by the short reviews in the book and decided to make mine. Not the most original but nevertheless, speak of how I feel about it. It made me lol at the right moments (but wrong places e.g in the bus haha) and some “Ooohs and Awwws” here and there. Oh, it made me want to sing (never mind the tune), too.

2. I love that it’s a first person narrative. Imagine being let in in the head of 2 different people who in some ways are alike - one who lives by a self-imposed rule of indifference but actually cares a lot and one who battles depression day by day and only sees the negative about himself but is actually a strong and a wonderful person. It makes me feel Will/will even more. I even find myself agreeing/relating to some of the things they say.

3. Everyone needs a “Tiny” in their life. That one person whose life is literally an irony itself (thinking about it, whose isn’t?) but still manages to try to be a ray of sunshine to others. Man, it ain’t easy being positive all the time.

4. Try-error-try-error-try-error… try-error-it - From one Will to another. It’s not just in love but life in general. It’s all about trying and trying and trying until you finally find/get “it” - the reason why you keep trying in the first place. Most of the time, we don’t see it and we constantly question things while we’re at it but the best learnings and experiences happen while we’re trying. I’m not saying that it’s better than “it” but it definitely makes “it” way, way better. (apologies for the excessive use of identical words 😅)

5. So many feels and quotable quotes! Just google it or better yet, READ it. Fine, here’s a few :
