Forever Will Always Be Forever

I believe in forever, I do believe in it.

Yes, I believe in forever.

Well, aside from me, is there anyone who believes in forever? Raise your hand, anyone?

Foever is a long time. Yes, it is endless. Forever may seems unbelievable, but if you just let your eyes, mind and heart open then you will see that forever do exist. I don’t have proofs but I have my ways to let you know just a little thing about forever. Let’s see.

I belive in God, so I believe in forever.

Because imagine your love for Him were endless, so it is a forever love right?

How about for your friends, families and even in your special someone, does ur love has an end?

To make you believe, here’s another thing. I have a pen with me. A pen, yes. If I throw this, what would it be? Still a pen. If I put it in my bag and say forget it for about days, weeks, months, and even years? And then i found it, what is it? Still a pen. What if i crushed this? Still a pen, right? In a powdered form, just kidding. So, whatever happens this pen is called a pen, scratch that maybe ‘forever pen’ right?

Another, what do you call your mom and dad when you were young? Mom and Dad. Now that you are a grown up person still you call them mom and dad because they are your forever mom and dad.

So everyone, let’s face the reality. Dont nag and trash talk everything, everyone and says forever doesnt exist just because you have a miserable lovelife. It’s not about that. If you just believe, everything is possible. You can’t see it, yes but you can feel it within our hearts, mind and soul. Because, Forever Will Always Be Forever, thank you.

Lourd de Veyra the Word of the Lord, a Contemporary Arts or not?

Contemporary Art is the art that is made today by living artists. It talks about the complex issues that the world are facing now.

Lourd Ernest Hanopol de Veyra or much known as Lourd de Veyra is a Filipino musician, poet, journalist, broadcast personality and activist who is famous for his own made lyrical/poetry music arts. He made a series entitled as Word of the Lourd series, it is a short dips that talks about the Filipino culture, media and everything that he can poked with. He used irony and humor to engage with the audience and to cover up the deep meanings of his artworks. hahaha

I believe that the series he composed are much of an example of a contemporary arts. As I watched one of his works, WOTL: Art, Art Ka Diyan. He said, Arts makes us think and now I know why some people were questioning his masterpiece. Word of the Lourd series made us think because it is a contemporary arts itself. As you can see, he tackles about the relevant issues that the society are facing with especially here in the Philippines. His video clips reflects our issues regarding politics, poverty, celebrities, culture, economics and everything that we had a problem of. As an artists, he may not giving us answers and ended up questioning (in literature, rhetorical question) the video or even ourselves but he changed a lot of people’s perspective and view - depending on how they see and understand it - when it comes to ‘reality’ that we are talking about. It may be look as an entertainment but it is a historical point of view that has a meaningful message to us.

He managed to show us the reality using the history, culture, poverty, societies issues and such. Therefore, Lourd de Veyra is indeed a Contemporary Arts himself.
